How easy it is to put together a suitcase when your wardrobe truly works for your life. A spontaneous trip to Italy. Five days, a few different locations, work meetings, sightseeing, travel days, and quiet moments with my husband. I packed one cream Joan Jean, one blue Joan Jean, three blazers, and one leather jacket—and that worked.

A couple of months ago, I reimagined 183 Duane as our denim shop—and also as a place to slow down, have a coffee, and enjoy something truly good. As someone who is gluten-free, I’ve long been looking for an authentic collaboration like this, and I’m so happy to welcome Noglu @nogluny downtown to the Nili Lotan Denim Shop. Coffee, gluten-free pastries, and a shared sense of craft—we can’t wait to have you come by very soon.

How can you be in Marche, Italy and not visit a winery? David and I spent the afternoon at Tenuto Santori, surrounded by olive trees, grape vines, and the kind of breathtaking landscape that immediately slows you down. Coming from New York, there’s something so refreshing about being immersed in this beauty—it brings back so many feelings and memories of home.
What made this place even more special was the story behind it. A young man who inherited his family’s business, traveled to California to learn and grow, and returned to Marche with his wife and two children to build something extraordinary through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Today, he’s sharing wines from this beautiful region with the world.
If you find yourself in Marche, make sure to visit.

On our recent trip to Italy, in the Marche region, David and I discovered two extraordinary restaurants in Fermo—one we loved for dinner, the other for lunch.

We arrived at Ristorante Lu Focaro late in the evening. Set on a small square overlooking the sea in the medieval village of Torre di Palme, the view was breathtaking and the atmosphere felt cozy and romantic. We loved our first night there so much that we returned a few evenings later to celebrate my birthday.

The following day, we had lunch at Enoteca Bar a Vino in the historic square. The chef prepares a fixed lunch menu each day—six small courses that feel simple, thoughtful, and authentically Italian. My favorite was a pasta primavera with asparagus and green peas. We also had the chance to meet chef and owner Giuseppe Rossi, who prepared mille foglie in front of us, the Italian version of mille feuille. It was unforgettable.

Two evenings in Rome, and all we wanted was for the nights to feel unmistakably Roman. We’re usually drawn to the kind of restaurants that stay true to themselves—timeless, authentic, and unchanged in the best way.

Our first dinner was at Ristorante Trattoria Al Moro—a restaurant that has been around for nearly 100 years, preserving a deep love for traditional Roman cuisine. When in Rome during this time of year, you simply cannot not eat artichokes.

On our last night, we went to Girarrosto Fiorentino, known for its traditional Tuscan and central Italian cooking. We enjoyed a 2020 Amarone with an amazing meal. The quality of the proscuitto in Rome made me want to eat it every day since returning to New York.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
