@darkmattercoffee grew out of Humboldt Park. Not from a business plan, but from a coffee bar filled with musicians, artists, and people who spent as much time building community as they did serving coffee.

Over time, the company expanded beyond the coffee bar and into roasting, sourcing, and relationships at origin. What stayed consistent was the feeling around it.

Spaces that feel expressive rather than polished. Coffee culture shaped by art, sound, neighbourhoods, and the people inside them.

Even the name reflects that thinking. Dark Matter, something powerful, expansive, and impossible to fully define. A fitting identity for a brand that never followed a fixed formula, but built itself through adaptation, creativity, and connection.
