PSL aims to bridge the gap between architecture and structural design using geometry.

PSL alumnus Dr. Teng Teng @ttistengteng was elected to the Board of Directors of ACADIA @acadiaorg , the Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture, during ACADIA 2025.
In addition to serving on ACADIA’s Board and Scientific Committee, Dr. Teng will support the organization of ACADIA 2026 as Technical Chair. The conference will be hosted by Lawrence Technological University in the Detroit metropolitan region.
Congratulations to Dr. Teng on this new role and his continued contribution to the design computation community.

The 5-day workshop, part of SAPL’s Block Week, is titled Design and Optimization for Architectural 3D Concrete Printing. Students were exposed to the geometric structural form-finding method of polyhedral graphic statics and the concrete printing slicing and optimization framework. Through the Polyhedral Structures Laboratory-developed software PolyFrame 2 and Ovenbird, students were able to design innovative structures for cross-scale printing.
