I was lucky enough to play some Coachella parties like the @filter.magazine party in the first photo. But, throughout that time period I always wanted my band to play Coachella or to be booked at Coachella properly.
Eventually I gave up on my dreams. I knew it wasn’t going to happen for me. I was getting to be too old and my bands were all breaking up and then I started an indie rock band and never suspected anything would happen with it as a little side project to my DJ career.
That band was called Poolside and in 2014 we were booked to play Coachella and I got to fulfill that long-time dream I’d have of playing there.
Now it’s equally exciting to come back 12 years later and DJ @thedolab
