went to Austin, played some shows, saw old friends, made new friends! my favorite part: my dad livestreamed the @iheartpodcast awards and sent me this video he made of his laptop as he watched—and at the end you can hear his reaction to @straw_hat_goofy’s wonderful presentation. photos by @lindsey_hirway except for the first one, by @rickkern @gettyimages.

“Time After Time” by @cyndilauper changed the trajectory of @bazluhrmann’s life. It accompanied the evolution of ‘Strictly Ballroom’ as it went from student play, to professional theater production, to Cannes, to one of the top-grossing Australian films of all time (with a new version recorded for the film). Baz told me the story of his relationship with the song in today’s episode of Key Change, out now on the Song Exploder podcast feed. Listen at songexploder.net/baz or wherever you get your podcasts.

This week, my conversation with Hrishikesh Hirway - recorded live at On-Air Fest in Brooklyn. Hrishikesh is an acclaimed musician, composer, podcast creator, producer, and television host. Hirway is best known as the creator and host of “Song Exploder”, a podcast where musicians break down their songs and tell the story of how they were made. Hirway is also the creator and co-host of podcasts “The West Wing Weekly” (with co-host Joshua Malina), “Home Cooking” (with co-host Samin Nosrat), and “Partners”.

In addition to the podcast, Hirway is the executive producer and host of the Netflix television adaptation of “Song Exploder”. As a composer, Hirway scored the Netflix television show “Everything Sucks!” and the films “Our Nixon”, “Save the Date”, and “Companion”. As a musician, Hirway has made multiple albums under the name The One AM Radio and his music has appeared on TV shows such as “Gossip Girl” and “One Tree Hill”. His new album “In The Last Hour of Light” comes out April 24th.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
