About 2 years ago I opened an art space and named it after my Momma (Vickie Lynn), who pass the year before. I've dedicated the space in her memory. It's a space for all genres of Black artists, and especially for Black queer artists. It's a space for the expressive Arts: music, visual, food, poetry, workshops, and whatever else you creatives can think of. It's also a community resource space for artists at any level. And every artists gets 100% of what they make. Period ✊🏾✊🏾

Black Matter(s): Demystifying Black Materiality in the Arts examines the historical invisibility of Black material culture in the arts, highlighting its power as a vessel for memory, identity, and self-expression.

Centering Southern Black artists working with wood, fiber, clay, fabric, and found objects, the exhibition explores how material choices carry cultural memory and narrative agency. Open to all, Black Matter(s) invites deeper reflection on Black life, identity, and culture encouraging viewers to find resonance and connection through the materials presented.
