OUT TODAY - Various Artists - All These Things I Thought I Knew: A Tribute to LD Beghtol (Mother West Records)

An entire generation swooned and swayed to his voice on The Magnetic Fields' 69 Love Songs ("All My Little Words," anyone?). But LD Beghtol was so much more than this sweet bari-tenor voice we all knew and loved. 

LD was also a singular songwriter whose multifaceted work can be heard across a multitude of diverse projects. As the creative force behind bands like Flare, Moth Wranglers, LD & The New Criticism (to name a few), LD created a body of work that defied genre labels and touched so many. 

To celebrate LD's life and work, some of his closest friends and collaborators have come together to create this tribute to him. It features covers and remixes of his work, as well as new versions/interpretations and songs he wrote and never recorded/released.

Featuring tracks by Stephin Merritt (The Magnetic Fields), Linda Smith, Jon DeRosa (Aarktica/Flare) & Charles Newman (Flare), Julia Kent, Kendall Jane Meade, Moth Wranglers, The Real Tuesday Weld, Dudley Klute and so many more. 

Available everywhere music is heard, and on limited cassette and digital download via Mother West Bandcamp.
