Edward Woodley is a multidisciplinary artist and the co-director of China Heights Gallery in Sydney, a space he co-founded in 2004. His practice spans painting, sculpture and installation. He produces conceptually layered works that examine semiotics, urban detritus, signage, systems of control and the tension between individual gesture and structural frameworks.
Decade of Aggression is a survey of Woodley’s artistic trajectory over the past ten years. In July 2025, he presented his first solo exhibition in a decade at China Heights, a landmark moment for both his practice and the gallery’s history. This publication accompanies that milestone, charting the continued progression of his work across the last decade.
