Synopsis : Une mère accompagne son enfant lors de sa première confrontation avec la mort en se raccrochant à la logique impossible des vieux dessins animés.

I've been working on a graphic novel that's very personal. It's called "You're Carrying Beautifully" that talks about my 10 months pregnancy in 2020. Thank you to @risca1967 for the generous support! I've been able to move forward at a snail's pace.
Picture 02 is me inking while my daughter was in a Japanese lesson at the local library. Working mama always need to squeeze in drawing time whenever we can 🎉

🐜Cartoon Physics est une adaptation en stop-motion d’un poème de Nick Flynn. Le film explore la relation mère-fille alors que la fille de 3 ans expérimente ses pulsions et ses fantasmes les plus sombres sans que celles-ci n’aient de conséquences pour l’instant.
La mère prend conscience que sa fille est sur le point d’apprendre les lois impitoyables du monde réel. Mais jusqu’à ce que ce moment inévitable ne survienne, elle est déterminée à protéger et à entretenir l’innocence baignant l’enfance de sa fille.

🐜Cartoon Physics is a stop-motion adaptation of a poem by Nick Flynn. The film delves into the mother-daughter relationship as the 3-year-old daughter explores her darkest impulses and fantasies, without any consequences—for now.
The mother becomes aware that her daughter is on the brink of discovering the ruthless laws of the real world. Yet, until that inevitable moment arrives, she is determined to shield and nurture the innocence that defines her daughter’s childhood.

We arrived at Ciclic animation in Vendôme, France🇫🇷 to work on our short film. Their permanent exhibition got updated- more props are shown from “Negative Space”💼🧦👖

We had an absolute blast bringing this life-size, ✂ paper-crafted pixilation project to life with the incredible team @dash_nc and good friends and handmade magicians @tinyinventions last summer. Grateful for such a fun and creative collaboration!
