Some things to do on this contemporary Charvel. The bridge pickup was flipped when it arrived and was out of phase with the neck which solved the customer’s issue of it sounding a little thin. We also removed the tone pot pushed the volume pot back and added a kill switch. Mini switch is to drop a coil and go from humbucker to single coil. Setup, with a much needed nut slot adjustment. Good friend Will Stratton inspired me to find more Yamaha FG’s to do more R&D on. Bought this first year Taiwanese made all ply/mahogany neck FG110 for a neck reset/refret. With weather patterns becoming increasingly harsh, the ply bodies (that are still structurally sound) will see a longer shelf life. Setup and new bridge on this 60’s es-335. Was going to opt for a Callaham but they stopped producing the abr-1 bridge, so we went with the Faber equivalent. Excellent sustain and durability.
