I enjoy distortions.
I was having fun playing with the reflections of the overhead lights on the glossy Polaroids..
Unfortunately, social media algorithms hate distorted images.They favor clean, crisp images. Videos take priority over photos.. videos with inane captions and things that bait negative emotions.
Should I conform and follow the prescribed behavioral guidelines or should I sabotage my success and follow my artistic instincts? Should I compromise my vision?If I was smart I probably would. Art rarely pays the bills.
But I guess I’ll just be the tree that falls without a witness.

Primarily known for her live hardware sets as VOID VISION, she seamlessly blends elements of #MinimalWave, Italo Disco, #NewWave, #EBM, and Industrial while maintaining a deep sense of authenticity. I said I wouldn’t cry this morning but as I was packing my car to leave the East Coast, my Hispanic neighbor came outside to hand me a bouquet of roses and I burst into tears.I am crushed by 1000 thoughts and emotions.. so many layers.She didn’t know I was leaving. We spoke in Spanish and broken English and hugged and cried and I thought about all of the horrible raci$t unjust world around us.
Valentine’s Day to me will always be something beyond romantic love. For me it’s more about COMPASSION than passion.
I want to say so much more but my plane is departing..
Thank you SO much to my friends and community.. I love you all more than words can express.
