How does Zikit work?
Rotating the handle elevates one of two internal bearing edges above the 14” drum shell, effectively altering the diameter to either 12” or 10” and raising the pitch of the drum. Returning to the handle to the original position will result in the original pitch.

How does Zikit actually work?
Rotating the external handle clockwise engages the 12” internal bearing edge, pressing it against the batter head to effectively shrink the size and raise the pitch. Rotating back to center disengages the 12” so that the drum shell (14” diameter) is once again supporting the batter head and the pitch is lowered. Rotating counterclockwise engages the 10” internal bearing edge for the highest pitch.

All of this can be done in a few seconds rather than the minutes it would take with a drum key and Zikit consistently returns the batter head to the same pitch for each setting, effectively offering low, medium, and high-tuning presets. What does this mean for you? Change snare sounds between songs, during a song, or while just practicing as the inspiration strikes rather than needing an additional drum or stopping to retune.
