Evanston Folk Festival returns for its third year at Dawes Park on the shores of Lake Michigan on Sat, Sept 12 + Sun, Sept 13!

This year’s incredible lineup features Indigo Girls, Trampled by Turtles, Josh Ritter, Sierra Hull, Valerie June, and 20+ renowned artists. Chicago Public Media is bringing back our Conversation Tent under the big top, engaging authors and luminaries in thoughtful dialogue about the state of folk music + beyond. Plus, Punch Brothers join us at Cahn Auditorium* on Fri, Sept 11, for an intimate Folk Fest Kick-Off Show you won’t want to miss.

Say “I do” at the world-famous MONEYGUN altar. Officiated by our in-house ordained ministers, come with your legal marriage license in hand to make things official.

The night starts at 8pm. All marriage submissions are due by 9pm. Every (randomly selected) 5th couple to tie the knot gets free drinks for the YEAR. Every other couple gets a free round on us! Warm Love Cool Dreams Music & Arts Festival from Empty Bottle Presents returns May 23rd & 24th at the Salt Shed in Chicago.

The wide-ranging, multi-genre festival takes place across the entirety of the Salt Shed facility: indoors, outside on the Fairgrounds, as well as the cocktail bar Three Top Lounge and arcade Elston Electric. Warm Love Cool Dreams proudly features the inclusion of Oddball Market and the Arts of Life Studio Sale, as well as river boat rides around Goose Island for attendees.

The festival boasts an exciting, eclectic lineup that runs the gamut, including Australian indie royalty Courtney Bartnett, the genre-shapeshifting maestro Toro y Moi and legendary Scottish post-punk quartet The Jesus and Mary Chain. Alongside Chicago mainstays Tortoise, Whitney and Pixel Grip and sensations of the underground like Nourished By Time, Smerz and YHWH Nailgun, Warm Love Cool Dreams aims to amplify the next wave of boundary-pushing artists, connecting the city of Chicago to the worldwide avant-garde in one unified, forward-thinking celebration.
