Meet Drezden Plotkin. He earned his MS Finance in 2021, and this week, he's graduating again as a Double 'Dore with the Executive MBA Class of 2026.

When tornado warnings rolled across Nashville on the morning of the 2025 Walk for 1 in 100 for the Adult Congenital Heart Association, Drezden was the one chairing the event. His Owen classmates showed up anyway. Drezden calls it one of his favorite memories from the program.

Drezden works full-time as an associate at TVV Capital, a Nashville-based private equity firm. Alongside that, he launched two ventures while in the program: The One Percent Heart Podcast, which he grew to more than 50,000 subscribers and 1.7 million views, and JigLabs, an AI-powered valuation platform born out of Vanderbilt's Launching the Venture course.

Drezden’s advocacy work has earned him recognition as a 2024 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Nashville 30 Under 30 honoree and a 2024 Volunteer Award recipient from the Adult Congenital Heart Association.

Now more than ever, we must call for funding for congenital heart disease! Ask Congress to appropriate $10 million in FY27 for programs authorized under the Congenital Heart Futures Reauthorization Act of 2024. These programs ensure we are addressing the critical shortage of healthcare providers to care for those born with CHDs and that the government collects accurate data across the lifespan about CHD.
