Today is about appreciating the care, sacrifices and support mothers provide their families every day.
We thank you and we’ll keep fighting for all working mothers so they have paid leave, equitable care and good union jobs.
Happy Mother’s Day from America’s unions! ❤️

As mail voting begins for the June primary election in California, members, friends and allies of #adg800 should know that the @iatse has endorsed Tom Steyer for Governor.
Here's why: of all the candidates for governor, Steyer:
1) Has the strongest position on future film and television tax credit policy, both on the state and federal level.
2) Has the strongest position on setting guardrails for the use of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.
3) Is the most vocal candidate clearly in favor of a single-payer healthcare system.
"As Governor, I will support policies that not only protect jobs, but also ensure that Hollywood remains a place where independent media and creators are nurtured, celebrated, and rewarded.” - Tom Steyer

#adg800 and @iatse members please note we are now ON STRIKE against CoChemelon: The Melon Patch, a live-action spin-off of the union-made animated series.
Rather than provide fair wages and benefits to the crew the producer is trying to hire scabs for the production that’s shooting in Sun Valley, Calif.

This beautiful color print is from “The Jewel City in Natural Colours,” an official publication of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, which was held in San Francisco in 1915 to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal. Extending from Fort Mason well into the Presidio, the exposition featured dozens of elaborate, specially-built pavilions and other buildings, almost all of which were demolished when it was over. This image shows the Tower of Jewels and the Italian Towers, which were illuminated at night “by an entirely new system called flood lights.”
Note to all: Barbara Hall, our #adg800 Archivist, passed away during 2025. Barbara's warmth, dedication, and spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to know her. She is deeply missed, and in her honor we are reposting some of her "Archive Item of the Week" selections from our weekly member newsletters.

IATSE is condemning management of the Kennedy Center, alleging the Center is violating its contract and laying off union workers without meeting its legal obligation to bargain.
During bargaining last week, the Kennedy Center confirmed it has laid off or terminated all workers in its Instant Charge and Group Sales and Subscription departments, effective April 27, more than two months before the temporary closure begins. Management also confirmed it will not replace the work.
“This is not a normal closure-related layoff,” said International President Matthew D. Loeb. “The Kennedy Center appears to be using a temporary closure as cover to permanently eliminate union jobs in violation of its contract and federal labor law.”

Art Directors Hans Dreier and Ernst Fegté pulled out all the stops when designing the Art Deco interiors for Easy Living (1937), a romantic comedy about a working girl who is mistaken for a millionaire’s mistress. This display in an exclusive hat shop, for instance, is only seen for a moment on screen, but captures perfectly the world of the super-rich and their frivolous accessories. The classic film, which was directed by former Art Director Mitchell Leisen, also features one of the best Hollywood recreations of a New York City Automat.

#adg800 and @iatse members please note we are currently ON STRIKE against a Panda Express commercial produced by Good Behavior. The company shutdown the 30-person production today instead of recognizing the crew’s right to collectively bargain for fair wages and industry-standard benefits.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
