👏 Last month marked the first MediaMaker Convening of 2026!
After a week of workshopping, learning, collaboration, mentorship, and team building, we celebrated with a reception at our 9th Street space alongside our 2026 Connect Residents, MediaMaker Fellowship alumni, BAVC Multimedia Producer Apprentices, 2026 Berkeley Film Foundation mentees, staff, and broader community.

❗Better Together Fellowship: Applications now open for Fall 2026
We’re offering paid assistant editor and media producer fellowship and lab program in partnership with PG&E. BAVC Media will provide an opportunity for in-depth professional development to aspiring editors from underrepresented communities while supporting social impact storytelling and content creation.
Each fellow will receive a stipend of $5,000 and emerge from the program with enhanced skills, expanded portfolios, and strong connections to new mentors and peers.
Deadline to apply is Monday, May 25 at 11:59PM PT. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
