By @lumus.instruments | “Phase” is a new form exploration within the Polynode series. It consists of a double-layered array that creates a field of negative space. Phase-shifting lateral movements form shapes that exist only in our perception, while longitudinal motion reveals itself only in part.
The Polynode series invites us to engage with digital fields stretching through space and questions how we interface with their behaviour. The installation uses virtual nodes in a digital array that express themselves through light and sound. As patterns interact with these nodes, they generate spatially mapped audio along the body of the work. In this way, it becomes a spatial instrument in which neither light nor sound acts as the origin of the behavior that is being displayed.
This work was first presented at MIRA Festival in Barcelona. With the various forms of Polynode we continue to explore ways for digital systems to interface with the human experience. The progression from simple patterns to complex ones guides us into a state of “observational flow”, where there’s a constant tension between what we perceive and comprehend.
Many thanks to the MIRA team and team Berlin (Clara & Sven) to help us bring this installation into reality!

The installation shows that beauty does not lie where everything shines, but where it slowly fades away.
The filters are colorless and transparent, like our atmosphere. But shifting the angles creates errors. This results in complex interactions of light that initially produce colorful patterns and then lead to complete darkness.

A few insights into the construction of the “Deal” installation in the vaults of the Munot in Schaffhausen. The installation was created on a huge area of 2,000 square meters. The vaulted main room is crisscrossed with light wells. The entire building is crisscrossed with dark corridors.

Der Deal
by @studiosvensauer

DEAL
by @studiosvensauer
We are all, at rare moments in our lives, forced to make “deals” we never wanted to make.
Deals are silent agreements we make with ourselves — inner arrangements we don’t enter into willingly, yet cannot avoid.
All of this happens invisibly. No friends to call. No family sitting beside you.
These kinds of decisions are like a room without windows.
The installation takes this room and places it in the middle of a space. Not as an explanation. Not as a solution. It simply stands there: This is what it looks like.
The Deal is my most personal work since we began our exhibitions. And it is the installation that has moved the most people so far — at least, it’s the one where people linger the longest.
And sometimes, they nod, as if they’ve just recognized their own deal again.

I rarely post anything personal - but today it has to be. Seven years ago I was allowed to marry this man. A life with the promise that it would never be boring. Which is absolutely true. Thank you to everyone who is and has been part of this adventure :) Cheers to many more exciting years
THE DARK ROOMS HOTEL**
This abandoned Hotel was once full of life: people came and went, celebrated, loved, argued, and dreamed. The rooms still carry these invisible stories within them.
Across 10 levels, 15 international artists will create light and sound installations. Their works tell stories that would otherwise remain hidden—topics we long for and that society seems to overlook. These will astonish, sometimes confuse, and offer encouragement.
The silent hallways, with their thick, worn-out carpets, muffle footsteps, allowing visitors to glide almost soundlessly through the abandoned corridors. Darkness heightens the senses.
Without clear direction, guests explore the different floors, constantly discovering hidden rooms housing audiovisual installations. Most of the works are premieres, being shown in Berlin for the first time.
This is the last chance to wander the halls of the old hotel: shortly after, the building will be demolished.
As always, the location remains a secret and will only be revealed to ticket holders 48 hours before their visit.

The installation “Marionette” is already 2 years old, its theme has unfortunately not lost its topicality.
What happens to a society that can not agree on a common reality? Are we facing a crisis of truth? This installation explores the erosion of truth and the fragility of our perception in an age of misinformation.
Tents hang upside down from the ceiling. A soundscape of a rainstorm envelops the viewer in a safe atmosphere. The artists draw on memories of how beautiful a night in a tent can be when it rains.
The lightning in the tents is based on tracking data from the first rocket detonations on February 22, 2022.
For viewers, the distinction between truth and fiction in the exhibition becomes a complicated challenge, as sound and image merge into one another. MARIONETTE is a powerful reminder of the need for critical media literacy in our ever-changing information landscape.

I usually create the first drafts for installations in 3D programs.
But the light refraction of the filters forced me to use an analog solution for the animation: I built the installation as a small model, let the music of the animation run in an endless loop, and created the sequence of rings by hand.
Every single movement was written down like a musical score. This book was the basis for the later animation, and we actually used all the entries except for minor time adjustments.
In order to be able to write this score. An old pigeon tower was made available to us for 4 weeks. A wonderfully quiet time :)

The first light test of the installation at the @schemerlichtfestival (Netherlands). 68 ring lights were distributed throughout the forest.
In the darkness, only the red glowing tree stumps can be seen. The installation picks up data sets on which tree populations will have disappeared in Europe by 2070.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
