behind Dalston’s storefronts is @earthackney – a “post-apocalyptic, other-worldly” 1920s cinema-turned-independent arts space hosting live shows, club nights, choir and orchestral performances, cultural takeovers and everything in between.
EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) has seen it all: generations of pigeons laying claim to the Theatre during its 37-year hiatus, a new lighting rig in the Hall attracting the likes of The Dare and Yaeji, record fairs and independent markets filling the Kitchen with top-tier tunes and exquisite food, as well as takeovers of all three spaces by music collectives such as Eastern Margins, Dialled In and Portals Festival.
“I’ve been here since 2018,” said Greg, who manages the Art Deco venue that blends its rich heritage with hypermodern acoustics and ever-evolving programming, “and there’s not one day I don’t walk in and just have a little second of ‘oh, wow, it’s magical.’”

night one will feature a new dance work choreographed by Elisabeth Mulenga & Violet Savage, titled ‘Floods in Waiting’, featuring an original score by feeo. preluded by cultural programmer, music curator & dj: TTB, who has provided soul nourishing sounds at previous life is beautiful shows such as Tommy Wright III’s UK debut, & zerosome at the windmill.
night two will open with a dj set by programmer, artist & founder of Ormside Projects: Mike Levitt. followed by a two-part multidisciplinary performance by the life is beautiful septet: aloisius, Bianca Scout, NWAKKE, Isaiah Hull, Jasper Maurice, THE NARRATOR & abi asisa, joined by special guests including: May Kershaw, Damsel Elysium, SHAUWDII, Riot, Kenichi Iwasa, James Massiah, Angelina Nonaj & Rune Kielsgaard.
on the final night, there shall be a large scale performance of orchestra379 (v9), roughly 37 artists including musicians and dancers from across the lineup’s of nights one & two, will perform a large scale multi disciplinary improvisation performance.
preluded with a dj set by Slauson Malone 1; the musical and performance project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and visual artist Jasper Marsalis.

Our final DJ post! Club Rua founder Toraigh returns with her signature blend of rhythmic, ritualistic techno. Alongside her distinctive sound, she’s been steadily building her presence in the local scene, championing emerging producers through her Aaja Radio show, hosting open decks, and contributing as a member of the FLINTA collective Sisu Crew. With sets across grassroots venues throughout the city, she continues to carve out a space of her own.
