Something you may know about me by now is that I am obsessed with fragrance - So, at the end of 2022 I decided to take a couple of days off from writing songs each week and took a Certificate Program in Advanced Perfumery offered through @prattinstitute in NYC & @cinquiemesens in Paris, taught by my incredible teacher @raymond_matts . Over a few months I learned so many things about fragrance, especially *how* to smell. I’m so grateful I had this opportunity - it has really inspired me in my writing and given me so much more insight into something I’m already incredibly passionate about. I could go on and on about my personal philosophy on fragrance,but I’ll save that for another post.

Our very first Scent Session 🌹

We created Scent Sessions as a way for fragrance lovers in Nashville to come together — to slow down, smell, learn, and connect over something we all love.

This first Session was all about rose — or rather, Anti-Rose.
Because everyone has strong feelings about rose, we wanted to explore how it shows up in unexpected ways. Together, we smelled rose across different interpretations, textures, and moods, and let our opinions surprise us.

There was sipping, smelling, lots of laughing, and those moments when a room of strangers starts to feel like a community.
