This episode reminded us that the path toward a dream is rarely linear. Izack is living proof that, in art, moving forward also means getting lost, trying new things, taking risks, and not giving up.
Every attempt and every change in direction ended up bringing him closer to what now defines his work and passion: fashion photography.

We spoke about the editorial world, the creative process before a shoot, and what it means to direct and manage a team. But beyond that, this conversation is about intuition, and about how throughout his career Izack kept creating even without knowing exactly where the process would take him.

Izack was the first person I ever had on the podcast, in April 2024. I had wanted to start a podcast for almost two years, and I kept getting more and more antsy about not having the time to actually do it. So I finally asked Izack if he wanted to try it with me. I chose him because Izack has a way of being that makes you feel safe and comfortable right away, and I was nervous about recording for the first time.

In the end we recorded for 3 hours (we both tend to get carried away talking). Of course we couldn’t really use the footage because I was an amateur and didn’t know much about setup yet. But it was the first step (el paso más importante).

In December we invited Izack back to record again, this time as part of Episode 008, which will be out April 10th, almost exactly 2 years after that first step.

Last year started a project visiting the homes and creative spaces of young artist in Mexico City and NY, I’m starting to share this images, specially for the kindness of people letting me get inside what it is an intimate space where they create or use it as place to get away from the eveyday craziness or noise that happens outside their doors.
This project was an attempt to get in the world of different people for a few hours and see what’s important for them. To be able to create without to much planning and to just get immerse into the moment.
A different way of taking pictures where the person and the space are the main subjects.
For this ones I visit this beautiful and talented artists @jessicaluost / @conor_ackhurst both of them open the doors of their studio in La colonia Guerrero in CDMX, they were part of an art residency in the city where they had the chance to create 2 different projects, one involving painting and the other one mixing materials.

Last year started a project visiting the homes and creative spaces of young artist in Mexico City and NY, I’m starting to share this images, specially for the kindness of people letting me get inside what it is an intimate space where they create or use it as place to get away from the eveyday craziness or noise that happens outside their doors.
This project was an attempt to get in the world of different people for a few hours and see what’s important for them. To be able to create without to much planning and to just get immerse into the moment.
A different way of taking pictures where the person and the space are the main subjects.
For this ones I visit this beautiful and talented artists @jessicaluost / @conor_ackhurst both of them open the doors of their studio in La colonia Guerrero in CDMX, they were part of an art residency in the city where they had the chance to create 2 different projects, one involving painting and the other one mixing materials.
