I’ve been a Christian most of my life. I grew up going to church Sunday morning, night, and Wednesday, thanks to my incredible Mom. But overtime, I slid further and further away from God. I still believed in Him, but I was on the edge. My faith was more of a label than a lifestyle.
But God never gave up on me. I went through some really tough situations in the past year and relied on God to get through them. It humbled me. Knowing that I needed something bigger than myself. Something that’s always been in my life. A presence I’ve always felt since I was a kid.
I made the decision this year to stop being lukewarm. God called me for something bigger than myself. To spread His word and being a positive influence for Christianity. I’m all in. Daily pursuing God through prayer, scripture, content, and surrender.
This led me to creating @faithfullyjosh where I will spread God’s word and love. I want to use the gifts He’s given me to help others learn about Him. If He can transform my heart within a year, He can do it even quicker for others.
This life is a small fragment of our eternal existence. As long as God gives me breath, I will try to live in a way that honors Him. This won’t get me into Heaven. Because by grace are you saved through faith. I created my second channel because I feel like it’s my duty to honor God with everything He’s blessed me with.
If you’re in a tough place in life, God is building you for something greater. If you accept the calling. Because many are called, but few are chosen.
