Sometimes I’m not the least bit funny. And sometimes that’s on purpose. And it feels so right.

This is a pizza commercial. This is a romantic comedy. These may seem like two completely different things that don’t go together, but it’s undeniable harmony.

I’m happy to find out that McCann’s PlayAlberta “Scared Safe” campaign I directed picked up three Effie Awards, two bronze and a silver. Congrats to the entire team! 🤘🏼

Just won my very first Anvil Award (Two actually! Plus a Merit) for a cinematic, horror, comedy campaign I directed for PlayAlberta.

What the F is an Anvil Award, you ask? Badass and handcrafted by the creative duo of @themarklovely and @reganer , I answer!

The tops are porcelain, each one unique and meticulously molded and hand sculpted. The bases are white oak preserved in a Yakisugi style that chars the outer layer to protect it from weather and insects (F-you, locusts!) and provides a true flat black look.

We were awarded for campaign, single and campaign ad craft. One Anvil is called ‘Cat Fight’ and the other is called ‘Rise from the Grave.” 🤘🏼 #badass #suckitcanneslions

It’s nice when you find out something you directed has made it onto @theoneclubforcreativity One Show Shortlist. It’s even nicer when that something is actually two things!
