Back in May we hosted @youtube Future Insiders: Philly Edition at REC Studios and brought some heavy hitters to the stage. If you were there then you know the energy was 🔥 in the room.

Philly’s own @raudxgeez, top 10 most-followed streamer on Twitch with over 2 million followers across platforms, shared many gems but this one was simple yet powerful.

Take notes, because I know we all want to step up our content game.

It’s hard to sum up 10 years of community and impact into one post, but we can sure try. In 2015, REC was formed with one mission: to empower creatives to do more of what they love. And that’s exactly what we did. From the warehouse to Market Street. From a West Philly venue to Firefly Festival to SXSW. Over 10,000 creatives served, over $3 million paid into the pockets of creators, 25,000+ studio bookings, 100,000+ hours of studio sessions, 1,000+ educational programs—and we can’t even begin to put a number on the connections and collaborations that took place inside and outside the REC building.

This post is to celebrate over 10 years of REC. Ten years of finding unique ways to bring the creative community together and add value to our local creative economy.

While you may have seen recent news of REC’s 9th & Market Street location closing—and while yes, that is true for now—it doesn’t take away from everything we’ve accomplished over the years.

With REC’s space closing on December 20th, it brings one chapter of REC to an end. But it also marks the beginning of new opportunities for so many. The future of REC’s space and REC’s business is still to be determined, and we’ll keep everyone updated as things become more clear—but one thing is for sure: Philadelphia’s creative community is filled with incredible talent that will continue to grow and evolve. And as the individuals behind REC, we will continue to support and add value to this community for years to come.

Thank you all for believing in REC over the past decade.

When we say “Independent Doesn’t Mean Alone”, we mean it. We get to support creators the way we do because of strong partnerships with brands and organizations who share our values. @PECOconnect is one of those orgs.

Huge s/o to the PECO team for sponsoring this cohort of REC members. Help us welcome Amirah, Taylor and Cheyenne to the community!

Nothing is ever promised in Entrepreneurship. And nothing ever goes to plan. So if there is ever a chance to have something to depend on, I take it.

That’s why I rock with Comcast.

Because of WiFi from Comcast Business, my creativity has no limits.

Real perspective from @janesha.moore — when motivation fades, make sure you have discipline to keep moving toward your goals.

She lives it with her content and now she’s showing us what it looks like again in real time as she trains for the NYC Marathon after only running for 7 months. CRUSHING IT. Keep leading the way, Janesha! 👏🏾👏🏾

Sometimes the hardest question to answer is the simplest: What do YOU want?

A reminder from @imaniimani (Founder & CEO, @culturecon + @theccnyc) to stop moving on everyone else’s terms and start creating on yours.

As a community builder and curator who has thrown thousands of events both large and small, believe me when I say Culturecon is truly a gem of an event.

A great curator creates a container with intention. When it’s done well people feel seen, they’re given access to valuable resources , information or experiences and most importantly to other likeminded people. Culturecon overdelivers on all of that when you consider the high level brands who consistently show up and support, the A List and rising talent who share openly and the accessibility for folks to attend without breaking the bank.

Beyond that— the rest of the onus is on us as attendees to take advantage of what’s in front of us and get what we desire out of the experience. ( I know that me, @leonzo.vargas and all the REC Members we brought got exactly what we wanted out of the weekend and then some! S/o my guy for pulling up on me and bringing his energy to the space too.)

For anyone who somehow didn’t get what they hoped to out of the conference, I hope they reflect on how they could have improved their own experience because the container was truly designed for us all to be successful.

I haven’t seen the level of leadership, professionalism and consistency in a Black owned, Black run and majority Black-attended event series in many places and think we should recognize the gift that @imaniimani and the @theccnyc team work hard to give us each year.

I’m not saying that the event is perfect— but nothing is. But we also can’t lose sight at the social client we’re in and just how hard it is to pull off anything of this magnitude in general.

Culture is literally created by likeminded people coming together to connect and share ideas. This space, without a doubt, is one of the best places we have to do that at scale.

Much love to the whole #CultureCon team and all who proudly support it!

- Will

How many opportunities have you missed trying to play it cool?

@kur7947 broke down how that Philly mentality of playing it too cool held him back for years—and why first impressions matter more than you think. 💯

So many gems dropped on our stage back in May when we hosted @youtube Future Insiders right here at REC Studios.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.

Advantages of Anonstories

Explore IG Stories Privately

Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
