In 2023, to commemorate 75 years since the HMT Windrush’s arrival, I collaborated with @karisbeau and @shaniam00 to craft a visual ode to the resilience of the Windrush generation. Inspired by @m.mcmillan62 The Front Room: Migrant Aesthetics in the Home, this photo-series captures relics that carried stories. These objects, imbued with memory, became silent witnesses to migration, survival, and the preservation of home.

A heartfelt thank you to @shaniam00 for curating the set with such intention and offering her back garden as the backdrop, a space that held the warmth of a familiar yard, grounding this story in authenticity. A special thank you to @takemorephotos for the prop hire also 💚
