Little snowboarding appreciation post.
I think most of my friends and family know by now that I’m OBSESSED with this sport.
And yeah, I absolutely love it. I love the feeling of zooming down the mountain, I love doing wide, deep carves where my hand touches the snow, hitting jumps and those butterflies you get when you land them and stand up like it was no big deal.
But I think what I really fell in love with was that it gave me a whole new path in life. No, I don’t mean I’m going pro. lol
It gave me an opportunity to spend time with friends in a whole new environment and I’m not just talking about theboarding.
The road trips, the breakfasts, the parking lot lunch BBQs, the snow angels, the lift beer chugs, the EOD breweries/dinners; all of it.
Even those days where I go up by myself and make new friends drinking hot chocolate around a fire.
Snowboarding is awesome but the people? Don’t even get me started. (I already did anyways)

Random little bits from our trip that make me smile looking back on them.
I think one of my favorite things was stumbling upon some cathedral in Paris that was hosting a celebration for the end of the Olympics.
Singing, dancing, people meeting each other for the first time and just sharing love and joy. It all felt so human to me and made me appreciate this trip for reasons deeper than just sightseeing.

I’m not sure I took a single photo in Split outside of this one. Again, completely awestruck by history and architecture surrounding this beautiful city.
Honestly, Split surprised me. I hadn’t done any research on the city nor had any intrigue outside of the fact that I know a few people from there.
It really felt like I was in some sort of medieval fantasy town. I mean, the landscape just had it all and the colors were just stunning. The food was incredible. I’m honestly at a loss for words when it comes to this place (maybe because I used up all my vocabulary in the last few posts).
Just go visit and you won’t regret it.

I’m only just now realizing that IG lets you post the photos in a carousel without cropping. Well, we here now. 🤦♂️
That aside, Mykonos is such a beautiful place and I’d highly recommend it over Santorini. Some beautiful blue/white architecture, beautiful beaches, cute windmills, great food and slightly less expensive. 10/10 would swim here again. Although it did feel like a bit of a party town, I loved every aspect of it.
Honestly, being here kinda felt like I was in one of those cute towns in a JRPG that make you feel like everything’s gonna be alright. Well, except for the moment where some dude tried to jack a lady’s scooter.
That was craaazzzy.

This place felt incredibly photogenic for me, not just for obvious reasons. I mean, these centuries-old structures having withstood the test of time are just so accepting of the harsh sun. I can only imagine old Greek cinematographers speechless staring at the symphony of light and shadow raking through the pillars of the Pantheon. lol
I feel sorry for anyone that visits on a cloudy day.
I was totally in awe of these amazing structures. Who wouldn’t be? That they sit atop this incredible limestone hill, overlooking the entirety of the city. I definitely would’ve felt like a king.
Though the city below was just as amazing, with so much history scattered about, it’s hard not to feel like an adventurer searching through ruins of eld. Sparked a memory of me being a kid again, playing with sticks and stones in the desert thinking that I was going to uncover some crazy ancient mythos. Of course, I didn’t mention a word of this to mom but I was giddy the whole time.
Oh and the coffee was great. Don’t get me started on the gyro.

This place felt incredibly photogenic for me, not just for obvious reasons. I mean, these centuries-old structures having withstood the test of time are just so accepting of the harsh sun. I can only imagine old Greek cinematographers speechless staring at the symphony of light and shadow raking through the pillars of the Pantheon. lol

I think by this point, I came to understand that’s it’s pretty darn hard to take photos of beautiful things when you can’t stop gazing in awe. So anyways, I started snapping everything regardless of composition.
But let’s talk a little bit about Florence, prefaced with Venice. We ended up coming here because our initial impression of Venice wasn’t that great. Beautiful city, as I mentioned in my prior post, but we were introduced to it through its quieter alleyways riddled with the stench of animal leavings (sorry for the language). Visually, I found it poignant and rustic but It was what it was and we knew it wasn’t pleasant.
In contrast, Florence felt like a breath of fresh air (literally). I think it was here that I was most blown away by the architecture and intricacies of their design philosophies. All that stacked on top of the fact that these structures will built over the course of decades by hand through thousands of workers.
I’m sure at this point, you can imagine that I was like a kid in a candy store throughout this entire adventure.

As you can maybe tell, I’ve dispensed with the white framing. I’ve realized that it was a bit superficial for myself as an amateur photographer, especially when I’m not taking the time to make it completely perfect.
Anywaaayyysss….Venice. I mean, wow. When we arrived and saw the city, I was honestly shocked at how beautiful it was. I mean, the alleyways we first saw, maybe not so much. Not trying to sugarcoat everything here. BUT conceptually speaking, a city that lives on top of water is just mind blowing. Their transit system is all water-based! How could that not be cool!?
It was just one of those moments where I couldn’t stop thinking to myself, “Wow, these are the kinda of things humans have always been capable of.”

Taking some time to live up to my word and actually post my experiences (and actual photos of myself). I’m kind of sad that I really only walked away with one photo I thought was even semi-decent but I think that’s just because I sort of liked the lighting?
That aside, I spent maybe 20 hours in London and found myself completely in love with the city. I think it always just ends up being the architecture that I’m enamored by. Aaaanndd I’ll never refuse an excuse to wear more layers. I wanted to walk into every single pub I passed and have a pint. Am I bit of a potterhead? Sure, but that’s got nothing to do with my romanticism of England. Totally…

Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles.
