3 years ago, I had the honor of being part of the inaugural Upstream Artist Residency in Oakhurst, California, where I spent my days surrounded by nature, experimenting with cyanotype on film.
Here’s an excerpt from the film I worked on during my time there.
I’m so grateful for that experience and even more excited to be included in Upstream’s 3-year anniversary exhibition, featuring the work of 20 artists from across the residency.
Thank you to @hotwater_cloud @charlottewendylaw @thinkmaya and @kolari for making this all possible 💙
Opening this Friday, April 17, 5–9pm, On view April 17 – May 2, Dream Farm Commons, Oakland, California
Happy New Year!
I’m kicking it off with a project that I’m stoked to share with you.
Last year, I made Axis of Becoming - a projection piece designed for the Daniels & Fisher Tower in Denver - which will be playing throughout January as part of @night_lights_denver
Axis is an abstract animation made from scanned junk mail and reflective paper, projected to fit the structure of the tower. During the process, I was thinking about chaos, information overload, and the narratives we’re asked to accept, and what happens when light hits it all. Even in the noise, what’s been buried starts to surface.
Thank you so much to David Moke and the @denvertheatredistrict
I am so grateful for the opportunity to see and share at this scale.

My animated piece Aura Drift was commissioned to light up the top of Salesforce Tower in San Francisco throughout November — with special showings on Thanksgiving weekend.
This work is dedicated to my parents, friends, pup, and all those who’ve crossed the veil. May it guide them beyond, glowing above the city every night from midnight to 1 AM.
Created in collaboration with @jimcampbell_studio, @emmastrebel @salesforce and displayed via @Salesforce_towertop_art, this project was a dream come true. Thank you for letting me share this with SF.

🌿Cyanotype on film 🎞️
A throwback from my artist residency at @_up_stream
I prepped and transferred most of the film at home, spending hours testing exposures and textures there. It didn’t go smoothly at first. I panicked a little haha, but when a frame finally came out right it was pure joy, relief, and totally addictive. I learned so much during my time at Upstream.
Watching the picture appear on the film is something I’ll never get tired of. 💙

♺scraps
Scraps from the paper I used to protect my light box while hand-painting film. I’ve always felt the leftovers from a project still carry creative energy. Then I tried a square hole punch, loved the sound, and started seeing the pieces as frames. No plan, just free-flow animation. Stream of consciousness. Oddly satisfying in every way.

I often feel like manipulating film digitally is sacrilegious, and yet I can’t stop.
This strip can’t be projected in a traditional way for many reasons; Even if it could, it would flash by faster than the blink of an eye, like a glimpse into another dimension.
Still, it holds time and motion inside something no bigger than an arm’s length.
A different kind of canvas, one that can expand to the size of a wall or shrink into the palm of your hand. 🤳

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
