REPORT 2: Further extending report 1, the materials we used before was calico , however , to expand across different materials, we used a blend of 100% cotton onto the outer surface, the canvas , of the beanie. Reason for that was to have a more bold presentation when artist work and create on the beanie.

REPORT 1: To format the beanie onto other people, the shape needed to restructure. We used the original silhouette and reduced the measurement by 1 CM in diameter, thus creating a shorter , more fitting beanie for other hair types.

CANVAS BEANIE 🦋

The Material:

Initially I wanted to make the beanie out of raw denim. And if you don’t know what raw denim is, see it as the process before the finishing, leaving it untouched. However, contrasting paint on the fabric creates low saturation and contouring.

So instead, I went with calico and the contrast it showed was beautiful. Colours of red, blue and green translated really well and to finish the beanie to have my take , I chose satin silk, with the colour being Scarlett red.

For me, red represents the polarity of love and hate, and due to that nature, it sits in the middle and the center of all my work. Rage but also, peace.

The construction:

So I had this idea since November 2025, where I wanted to create clothing again but this time, to actually know what I’m making by having a hands on approach. I wanted to learn the stitching, fabrics and every small detail in what it takes to make clothing.

But also, I wanted to get the message out, “The world is your canvas”. I want everyone to be an artist, in an industry where we pick and choose who gets to have recognition, I want everyone’s story to be told, everyone’s culture to be heard.

And that’s why I created the canvas beanie, to let everyone have a chance to express themself.

And without @khsteria, this wouldn’t be possible, my dreams to break the capitalist views on this creative industry,

The lore:

I wanted to create a canvas that people can wear. Where they can freely edit, draw and paint on what they by. In a time where car brands don’t let you modify there cars or clothing brands copywriting or even shutting down artists from doing there work on the said clothes. In my belief, once you’ve bought the product, it’s yours. You can change what it means to you, represent what it means to you, be an artist. And that’s what this beanie is for, change it, modify it, add YOUR personality. As I always say,
