I had all these cute post ideas for our announcement with clever captions like, the summer I grew a baby, or big brother promotion coming march 2026. followed by the sweetest video you’ve ever seen of us telling h the news in a photo booth.
after my early miscarriage in january, we promised we’d give it one more try this year and to our surprise, we found out at the end of june we were expecting again. cautiously optimistic, but elated things were going well week after week, ultrasound after ultrasound - our little rainbow pisces baby.
that is, until a call we received after labor day that turned our worlds upside down forever.
in the end, we only got to know you for 13 weeks and 6 days, but what an honor it was for me to carry you. the safest place I could think to be in this hellscape of a world. some of the purest joys I’ve ever gotten to experience was watching h get to shine in his new role as big brother. moments I will revisit in my mind until my dying days.
the healing begins now and j and I are eager to wrap up this chapter of our lives. we’re also incredibly grateful for friends and family who have helped us these past couple of weeks. I don’t know what we would do without all of you.
I hope in another life we can meet little miss Meyer Jade, we love you forever. 🤍
