As #QuantumScience and technology continue to evolve, the question is not only how fast they advance, but who gets to shape and benefit from them.

From a century of scientific breakthroughs to today’s emerging technologies, quantum science is transforming how we understand and interact with the world. Yet without inclusive access, education and international cooperation, these advances risk deepening global divides.

As the sole UN agency with a mandate in basic sciences, UNESCO was designated to lead the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology in 2025. In 2026, it also launched the Global Quantum Initiative to help ensure these advances benefit everyone.

👉 Swipe to explore how quantum science evolved and why inclusion matters more than ever.

🌊 What happens in the cryosphere affects us all.

The cryosphere is undergoing irreversible decline, triggering accelerated glacier melt, permafrost thaw, sea ice loss and rising risks of glacial lake outburst floods.

Through the Decade of Action for Cryospheric Science, led by UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme, the global community is working towards:

‣ Better observe and predict cryosphere change
‣ Assess the risks for societies
‣ Support adaptation on the ground
‣ Turn science into decision-ready insights

Because in a rapidly changing world, science must guide action.

Capture the connections that unite us. 📸

UNESCO invites young people aged 14 to 25 worldwide to participate in the 2026 Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest.

Organized within the #UNESCOSilkRoads Programme, this global initiative encourages youth to explore cultural connections and highlight the diversity of communities linked across these historic routes.

This year’s theme, “Living Heritage Along the Silk Roads,” calls for photographs that capture how heritage continues to connect people across cultures and regions.

Three winners per age category will receive cameras, and around 60 selected photographs will be featured in the “Youth Lens on the Silk Roads” album and exhibited worldwide.

🔗 Apply by 30 June and check out the link in bio to learn more.

From “in danger” to recovery. That is what collective action looks like.

This #AfricanWorldHeritageDay, we highlight three sites in Africa that have been removed from the List of World Heritage in Danger:

Abu Mena (Egypt)
Old Town of Ghadamès (Libya)
Rainforests of the Atsinanana (Madagascar)

This is a milestone and a shared victory.

Working together with UNESCO, States Parties have led years of sustained efforts to reduce threats and restore these sites. From tackling illegal logging and protecting biodiversity to stabilising fragile structures and rebuilding after conflict, these actions have made a real difference.

The List of #WorldHeritage in Danger is not only about identifying risks. It is a tool to mobilise international support, strengthen protection and enable recovery.

Today, these efforts are paying off. #ForThePeople

In a digital world, who decides what information we trust?

AI and new technologies are reshaping how information is created, shared, and consumed. They open new possibilities — but also amplify misinformation, distort visibility, and put journalists at risk.

As surveillance is targeting reporters and algorithms are boosting harmful content, the foundations of trust in information are under pressure.

These challenges demand more than awareness — they require action:
➡️ protect freedom of expression
➡️ support independent journalism
➡️ ensure platform accountability
➡️ safeguard access to reliable information

The future of information is being shaped now — press freedom must be part of it.

What if investing in journalism was one of the most effective ways to prevent conflict?

In today’s interconnected world, information is at the core of how societies function. The way it is produced, shared and accessed shapes understanding, trust and decision-making.

When information systems weaken:
Trust collapses.
Rumours spread.

And conflict follows.

Independent journalism, reliable information and informed citizens are among the most powerful tools to prevent crises — and far less costly than responding to them.

Just 15 days of global military spending would cover an entire year of investment needed to support public-interest journalism worldwide.

Journalism continues, often under challenging conditions.
Supporting it goes beyond the media sector; it is a collective responsibility.

Journalism shapes peace.

In Yemen, recovery is being built through culture, education, and youth. 🇾🇪

With the support of the European Union, UNESCO has already rehabilitated 900+ historic buildings, trained and employed 10,000+ young people. Across the country, millions have been reached, and historic sites brought back to life.

Yet after years of crisis, challenges remain immense. UNESCO is mobilizing further efforts to expand its impact—strengthening education, safeguarding culture, and standing with communities on the path to recovery.

Because rebuilding a country starts with its people.

“Today, we can cultivate up to three times a year. We’ve never had this before.”

In southern Madagascar’s Anosy region, farmers like Armène are seeing real change. With support from UNESCO’s BIOCOM project, funded by the Republic of Korea through @officialkoica, communities near Andohahela National Park now have reliable water, turning dry land into productive fields.

A new mini-dam, stronger water management and forest restoration are helping families grow more food, send children to school and build more stable livelihoods.

This local progress reflects a broader shift. The Rainforests of the Atsinanana have been removed from the List of World Heritage in Danger, a milestone for both conservation and communities.

🌍 Restoring ecosystems restores dignity, security and opportunity.

#LivingHeritage is not only about the past; it holds the key to climate resilience.

Small Island Developing States (SIDS) draw on these traditions to face growing risks and build sustainable futures.

On the frontlines of climate disruption, communities across Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Belize and the Bahamas are drawing on traditional knowledge to manage growing risks and adapt to a changing environment.

Together with the Government of Japan, UNESCO works with communities to safeguard and transmit these practices, which play a key role in strengthening food security, sustaining livelihoods and building cyclone-resilient shelters.

👉 Swipe to discover how these initiatives are making a difference.

On the International Day for SIDS, we recognise the role of intangible cultural heritage in supporting well-being, recovery and sustainable development.

65 million people on the frontline of change. 🏝️

On the International Day for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), UNESCO reaffirms its commitment to SIDS and their communities.

#SIDS safeguard more than 20% of the planets’ known biodiversity and 30% of the world's oceans. However, despite being vital custodians of our planet, they remain among the most vulnerable to our changing climate.

UNESCO works with SIDS on culture promotion and digital transformation, coastal monitoring, water resources management and climate science, strengthening local capacities, and protecting biodiversity and heritage — including 25 Biosphere Reserves and 38 World Heritage sites.
SIDS are not only on the frontline of global challenges — they are shaping the solutions. Let’s scale up our collective support and partnerships #ForThePeople of SIDS to ensure a more resilient and sustainable tomorrow.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
