Tender Hell

Reception: April 17, 6–8PM
Green Hall Gallery, 1156 Chapel St.

Tender Hell presents the culminating thesis work of the Yale Graphic Design MFA Class of 2026. The exhibition maps a diverse set of practices, reflecting on design’s circulation—through labor, care, service, and power—and the tensions it carries.

Printed materials by each participant circulate alongside the gallery work, extending these questions beyond the walls.

Guided by primary thesis advisors Nontsikelelo Mutiti @nontsimutiti, Andrew Wash Lister @a___w___l , Julian Bittiner @julian_bittiner, and Tiri Kananuruk @ngonngontiri
