Luca was unambiguous in his vision for this shot. It needed to be a kinetic milestone during the grand finale of the film - he wanted something ambitious and never seen before: the audience becomes the ball, getting smashed around the court at 100+ MPH… NO PRESSURE AT ALL, its just the climax of the movie!!
