The dogwoods have come and gone, even in New York, and I haven’t taken any photos of them :( Anyone who knows me knows how big of a deal this is. It’s the first spring in 4 years - since I first got into photography - that I haven’t taken at least a hundred pictures of dogwood flowers in all their various states of bloom: just opening up, falling apart at the end, every orientation possible, near and far, upside down and right side up, pink, white, and anywhere in between. It didn’t matter. I was taking photos of dogwoods. Anyways I’m sad I didn’t get that chance this year due to unfortunate timing and life getting in the way but I promise I’ll make up for it next year. Happy (belated) birthday to my dear friend Monica. Throwback to last year when she visited me in Milan for a week and planned a trip to Lake Maggiore, where there are islands with botanic gardens (!) and peacocks that roam free (!!!).
The dots and irregular vignetting on the frames are apparently from humidity damage. Normally I'd kick myself for the error but honestly I love the look in these shots.
