Graduation was supposed to be a moment to celebrate and enjoy. But afterwards, I felt empty. Lost. Confused.
Job hunt after job hunt — I lost confidence in myself. Was this all life had to offer?
Dreams that once meant the world to me felt so far away.
Still, I kept trying. And trying. And trying.
I failed. And failed. And failed.
Until I got tired of failing by standards that weren’t mine.
Six months after uni, I decided to focus only on what I truly wanted.
I applied to exhibitions. Did exhibition after exhibition after exhibition. While working part-time in sales. For a whole year.
Slowly, I started to feel better. More confident. Less like I was waiting for life. More like I was walking with life.
Along the way, I co-founded and started running my own events. That went on for a year too.
Since then, so much more has happened. There’s so much I want to share - the journey, lessons learned, and magical manifestations.
To launching my fashion brand @adanmasfashion .

This year, my attempt at meeting femininity was a pretty dress. Something I’d usually talk myself out of, claiming it “wasn’t for me” or that it belonged to the “real girls” who suit those things.
But it fit. And now I’m sitting with this new information. Do I change my style, or is this more about recognising the subconscious beliefs I’ve let run unchecked? Acknowledging, facing, and releasing.
I know 99% of those old scripts are inaccurate. I am beautiful; that’s something I’ve come to recognise, love and learned to create for. But writing this is still uncomfortable. Life is showing me that I’m about to grow out of a lot of “comfortable” but unsuitable places—mostly the world I’ve built inside my head.
Cheers to new beginnings. I guess this is what frontal lobe development feels like. ✨

Growing up I found it hard to envision life beyond 19.
At 15 I made a bucket list for my teenage years, and by 21 I had done most of it. ‘So I guess that’s it…’ I thought.
But six years later, we’re still here - existing and adventuring with life. Starting our own burns, designing our own collection, dancing, side questing and more.
The existential crisis of realising life has no finish line - no final thing to complete - is insane to me. Yet this continual unfolding is as beautiful as it is uncomfortable, and I’m deeply grateful to still be here, with such wonderful people to explore it with.
We ran out of plot a long time ago.
Now we’re just winging it. 😂
