Calling all YOUTH! It's time for the First Friday Creative Empowerment Workshop at Art from Ashes. 🖊📓🎤

The workshop is today at 5pm for youth 12 to 24 at Art from Ashes (1310 W 10th Ave). We'll provide the pizza and prompts and you get paid (to perform poems written during the workshop)!

Our SPRING Poet-Tree series concludes TODAY!! 🌸🌼🍃 The metaphors continue as our poetry prompts are centered around the valuable lessons we learn from nature when the trees begin to bud and break into blossom again. Youth ages 12 to 24, join us from 4pm to 6pm at our agency location (1310 W 10th Ave, one block from the 10th and Osage light rail station)! We’ll provide the poetry and art prompts to transform our current 3D Poet-Tree art piece. No registration required, just show up. All art prompts, materials, and snacks will be provided, so just bring yourself (and a friend or two)!

Art from Ashes invites you to Cultivate Community! 🌱 We have plants (propagated by our wonderful volunteers) and pots painted with youth poems, both available for donation. Take home a new green friend (or three). Tomorrow, April 19th, we’ll be at Champagne Tiger’s Sunday Drag Brunch. The three seating times are 10:30am, 12:45pm and 3pm. Be sure to make a reservation! And if you’re already going, come say hi!

100% of plant donations will go directly to keeping Art from Ashes programs free for youth. Thanks to Champagne Tiger for having us and supporting youth empowerment!
