💕Afro x Pop presents
✨ Our final project of the year — and we couldn’t be more excited. ✨

This week, AFRO x POP is hosting a two-day songwriting camp bringing together 27 talented Berlin-based artists, producers, and songwriters from the city’s vibrant music scene.

The studio is where the real magic happens.
Songwriting camps create something rare: a space where people who might never otherwise meet suddenly sit together, write together, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. It’s an environment for true co-writing, creative exchange at eye level, and the chance to grow — technically, artistically, and personally. And often, the connections formed continue long after the camp ends.

@AFRO x POP, we also acknowledge that access in the music ecosystem isn’t always equally distributed — especially if you’re not already part of major industry circles. That’s why this camp is built intentionally:
• at least 50% FLINTA & BIPoC talents,
• a platform for emerging artists ready for their next step,
• and a place where experienced producers & songwriters can share knowledge, collaborate, and explore new perspectives.

For us, this camp is a heart project shaped by intention, community, and the belief that artists thrive when they are given space, trust, and the right people around them.

Huge thanks to @musicboardberlin for supporting this project — and to all the incredible musicians who are part of the camp.

📍Final Stop Wednesday: Listening Session @pasticheinternational (Vinyl Bar)
Few spots available — but if you love music and want to join this special evening, send us a DM. 💕

✨AFRO x POP – Listening Session this Wednesday

This week, AFRO x POP is hosting a two-day songwriting camp bringing together 27 talented Berlin-based artists, producers and songwriters from the city’s vibrant music scene. New music will be created, ideas will be exchanged, and connections will grow between people who, in most cases, have never met before.

This Wednesday, we’re taking a moment to pause and listen — closing the camp with an intimate Listening Session at the Vinyl Café Pastiche, and honoring the magic that happens when so much talent steps into a room to build something new together.

In a music ecosystem that doesn’t always favour artists, it becomes even more important to create our own structures, support one another and build spaces where creativity can thrive. Thanks to the support of @musicboardberlin.

📍 Pastiche (Vinyl Bar)
Few spots available — but if you love music and want to join this special evening, send us an DM.

Inviting you to follow our intervention - Nzukota - live at @gropiusbau on Tuesday evening 6pm. Nzukota means „coming together“ in Igbo and is a podcast & dialogue event. (Streaming-Link in my bio).
.
In this context, Nigerian photographer @emekaokereke & myself invited 4 *Berliner* individuals to gather at the GARDEN OF STONES of @otobongnkanga‘s exhibition „There is no such thing as solid ground“ at Gropius Bau, reflecting & sharing our idea and understanding of home, as bodies of the diaspora.
.
✨Home here and elsewhere✨
.
live: @noraatchari
DJ-Set by @its_pambam
& more….
.
.
.
__________________________
“Nzukota” is an Igbo language expression which translates to “coming together”. On 8 December, the online lecture “Nzukota: Coming Together”, hosted by Emeka Okereke and Pamela Owusu-Brenyah, will bring together individuals presently living, staying or visiting Berlin to reflect on their notion of “home” as it relates to the state of being “here and elsewhere”. Employing dialogue, readings and music, the gathering will create a discursive atmosphere for the weaving of anecdotes, stories and incidents in connection to the space and dispositions of the participants. The event is part of Otobong Nkanga’s solo exhibition “There’s No Such Thing as Solid Ground” and will be broadcast live from 18:00. bit.ly/nzukota

We BACK this Friday :-)
Female To Empower x AFRO x POP @silent.green
.
It is important to tell and capture our own stories.
.
Against this background, the 'Female to Empower' series - which combines music - documentaries with live concerts - aims to tell the little and big stories of music that have hardly been heard from an exclusively female perspective.
.
The 2nd evening of Female to Empower is curated by us and takes a contemporary look at the musical work of Afro-diasporic women* in music.
.
„Three black women in the music industry: a DJ, a singer and a music advisor. They talk about their personal and professional experiences. A multi-perspective conversation, which gives an insight into the importance of your African roots for your work, why positive racism partly benefits you in the music business and which stereotypes you encounter again and again as black women."
.
7.30 p.m., film: Assurance
8:15 p.m., talk: @jubamusicldn and @NORAA in conversation with @its_pambam
9 p.m., concert: @noraatchari
9.30 p.m., DJ set: @jubamusicldn
.
LINK in bio for more info.
Limited seats & tickets
.
•Thank•You @silentGreen
Thank you @nea.0211 for the design.
.
—————————————
.
Female to Empower:
Female composers, DJs and producers are and have always been part of the musical present, but to this day they are hardly mentioned in the male-dominated narratives of music history.

Our panel discussion: DO IT YOURSELF - African Music Festivals for @popkulturberlin Digital Festival 2020 is a wrap and we are more than happy.
.
A huge Thank You goes to my amazing guests @mokeyanju of @poetrymeets__ , @elena_madlin of @streetlife_international, Wale Davies 1/2 @showdemcamp & organizer of Palmwine Festival in Lagos ❤️ and @popkulturberlin.
.
.
Major Music Festivals won’t take place this year because of Covid-19. The year of 2019 was a fantastic year for African Music Festivals globally. @afrochella @afronation , @afropunk @oneafrica_musicfest and many more had thousands of African Music Lovers flooded in from all around the world, wanting to see their favorite African Artist, listen to their fav music, as well as celebrating music culture and meeting like-minded enthusiasts.
.
The impact of these festivals, and contribution towards the visibility and promotion of African Pop Music, Artists and Culture is immense. Can it be a powerful motor to change narratives and be a driving force in the increasing perception and awareness of African Culture, Music, and their people?
.
If you want to know more, you can follow our discussion on the 26th of August on @popkulturberlin’s page.

We will keep you posted.

Have a beautiful weekend ALL! 💕

Ghana 2019
.
We traveled so much in 2019. Looking at our pictures from the past year, makes us feel lots of joy! .
The #CoronaCrisis shows us how privileged we are, moving around freely - whenever & wherever - we wanted to!
And I am more than humbled & grateful for the beautiful things I have seen, all the different people I‘ve met and all the yummy food I have tried.
.
On to a better 2020. Stay save, blessed and enjoy the calmness as long as you can! 🧡

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
