For Maarten Koster, circularity is more than a strategy, it’s embedded in his daily work.
As Business Development Manager with a focus on Furniture as a Service, he helps organisations move away from the “sell and forget” model. By retaining ownership of furniture, Ahrend knows exactly where products are, how they’re used and when they return to the Circular Hub for reuse or refurbishment.
Working closely with teams across Service, Project Management and the Circular Hub, Maarten ensures furniture is given multiple lifecycles. For him, circularity is about closing the loop in a practical, measurable way. Creating solutions that are sustainable, financially smart and socially relevant. That mindset even influences his personal life, where small conscious choices contribute to a bigger impact.
