As some of you may know , end of 2024 I decided to shut down my boutique after 8 years & just around the time I was trying to prepare my exit ,life hit me in ways that I did not see coming. So this entire year , I had to rebuild myself back up not only in business, but even in my personal life.
People don’t really talk about the grief that follows after stepping away from a business/career that you worked very hard for and for me closing my 1st business down hit me pretty hard emotionally. At first it felt like a relief because I finally built up the courage to put it down, but then it hit me — WHAT NEXT?! Who am I without Dream Couture? What about all the hard work, the community that was built & just like that, it’s all gone.
I didn’t feel ready to just jump into another business venture, I didn’t feel ready to release that version of me that built an identity throughout those 8 years — that version of me is all I knew.
I knew I had other talents & that it wasn’t the end of my story, but I didn’t know what my next chapter would even look like. I asked God what he had in store for me — day by day, prayer by prayer, step by step the vision came ,but the faith had to follow.I had no plan, but this whole time I’ve been building up for this moment. In the process , I was becoming & with that the business vision came to life.
This entire year God was preparing me.
All the setbacks, discomfort, lessons , losses, disappointments that I’ve endured allowed me to persevere & come back even stronger , so that I can share my vision with you all in this new chapter.
Soooo here’s the REBRAND — DBV STUDIO , which is the extension of@dreamboardvisions . Stay tuned as the story unfolds and what’s to come about with the studio.

Let me reintroduce myself, I’m Angela the face behind the lens and Dream Board Visions.
I’m a photographer Based out in Tacoma and I’ve been doing photography for over 8 years , it started out as a hobby, then being a photographer in my own clothing business to eventually taking a step of faith going full time photography, which is now DBV !
I have experience doing a variety of shoots but I’d say my niche is geared more towards family friendly shoots, couples , babies/ kiddos, portraits , and business. These type of shoots bring me more joy then just any kind of shoots and that took years of shooting to figure out what brought out that spark in me . I just LOVE , LOVE,I love seeing families together, I love making people feel confident and beautiful, I love capturing milestones, I love seeing the kids grow year after year, and I love helping out businesses because I, myself run two small businesses and know it’s not easy.
This is just a little background of my story and though I’ve been doing it for years, it feels like im just getting started, so feel free to follow my journey @dreamboardvisions 🤍

What may appear new to many — didn’t see the years it took me to actually get here.
The crazy part is , I feel like I’m just getting started.
For 9 years straight I kept saying YES — yes to opportunities even when it wasn’t my main focus or the career I saw for myself, I did it as a hobby. Even when I sucked, I still would pick up my camera and would just go for the experience. I was doing shoots for FREE for YEARS . The reward for me was just making others happy , seeing their confidence go up or even just documenting moments for others because now looking back at all those moments, they meant something — they will forever have something to look back on & remind them of a season they were in. So if you ask me , it wasn’t about the money, it wasn’t about getting recognition being behind the camera — truth be told I was behind the lens for years and have done hundreds of shoots without people knowing before I decided to put myself out there. I just love doing this and I never stopped showing up.
Fast forward to now, here I am running an actual photography business. Who would have known this would be my life, but it makes sense now. 😅
