There she is - only my dad would manage to lose a whole car, we spent months searching for it, looking in multiple garages and hiding places. Only for it to be exactly where we thought it was, but 1 garage over! It’s been sat rotting in there for 6 years. So now it’s on its way over to Ricky @thewonkydonkey to get it back to its former glory! Can’t wait to actually drive it around 🤞🏻
For Christmas 2020, I got my Dad a gift voucher for @gingerpigltd we often talked about all the nice things they had so making a decision on what to get was a challenge for him.
When he passed away, something that often went through my head was all of the food we wouldn’t be able to share together. I had no idea he actually placed an order. 1 week after he died, almost to the minute, there was a knock at the door… it wasn’t flowers but rather this bit of meat. A 6kg shoulder of pork. It went straight into the freezer. But today, I cooked it up and put everything I had into it, we had a feast surrounded by family and friends. I hope I did it justice. I just wish I had him here to tell him how much better my cracking was than his!

A post I thought I’d never have to write. Yesterday, the 10th of March 2021 my Dad passed away. We think it must have been a heart attack. Just 5 weeks before that my Grandad also died after contracting covid in hospital. The compounding pain of both of these is unimaginable, and something I’m just not ready to deal with yet. After performing CPR on myDad for 10 minutes and then the incredible paramedics going for another hour there was no way to save him…
I’m writing this post for 2 reason, firstly to inform people that I don’t have the heart to tell. And secondly because I don’t want anyone to feel the pain or trauma of an unexpected death. If you’ve read this far, please stop what you are doing, and call your parents, grandparents, kids, friends, whoever… and tell them you love them. That’s all. Death can come at anytime, weather you are ready or not.
And if your parent or whoever, is putting off going to the doctors, or anything like that. Don’t just nudge them, force them to go. Whilst it’s cliche, you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.
Stay safe, build bridges and look after the people you value. X

Spent the last few hours making sushi. I’ve tried and failed to make it well many times but it’s never been quite right. However, today it was perfect just the right amount of seasoning on the rice, and the rolls actually came out great. The spicy tuna hand roll was 🔥
The trick is to keep your hands wet so the rice doesn’t stick.
