Decades of research, including amfAR-funded studies, have produced extremely effective treatments for HIV/AIDS. When taken as directed, antiretroviral therapy (ART) can reduce the amount of HIV in the blood to undetectable levels and enable the body’s immune cells to rebound to normal levels. The number of AIDS-related deaths in the U.S. has dropped dramatically because of widely available, effective treatments. However, even when people respond well to ART, it does not cure HIV. And while today’s ART can dramatically improve the health and well-being of people living with HIV, they may still face long-term side effects from treatment, such as heart disease and other disorders.

Here’s the moment amfAR’s CEO Kyle Clifford and Director of Research Dr. Andrea Gramatica notified Drs. Delphine Depierreux, Ebony Gary, and Shalini Singh that they have won a Mathilde Krim Fellowship in Biomedical Research. amfAR deeply mourns the passing of Asal Sayas, our beloved colleague, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. As Director of Government Affairs, in amfAR’s Public Policy Office, as well as previous roles on Capitol Hill and at the White House, Asal worked tirelessly to ensure that public health policies informed by the best scientific evidence centered the experiences of those communities most affected by a variety of conditions. Her determination to create meaningful change for people living with HIV, cancer, hepatitis and other health challenges will be greatly missed. Her absence will be felt by many.
Our hearts go out to her loved ones.

If you have HIV and another STI, you are more likely to transmit the virus through sex. An HIV-negative person with another STI is at least two to five times more likely to get HIV through sexual contact than someone without an STI. STIs that create breaks in the skin or mucous membranes, for example, make it easier for HIV to enter or exit the body.
Also, STIs that cause inflammation in the genital tract attract immune cells for HIV to target, increasing the risk of getting HIV.

amfAR analysis of new data from PEPFAR, the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, showed a 33% drop in access to PrEP services and a 23% drop in new initiations of HIV medication in 2025. In particular, hundreds of thousands of people we'd expect to see starting treatment have simply gone missing, due to disruptions in service delivery last year. About 24% of the frontline health care workers are no longer performing the work they used to do.
The result: missing new diagnoses and failing to prevent new infections that will lead to an eventual resurgence of HIV.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
