Installation views from ‘Moving Pictures’ at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, West Palm Beach. On view until September 13, 2025.
“Grounded in his personal archive of plein-air digital recordings of flowers, ferns and skies, Hemer’s paintings are thriving Baroque worlds, informed by a shapeshifting process that moves between traditional painterly approaches and algorithmic and digital translations.
These paintings embrace the space between the real and the imagined; capturing lush floral landscapes across locations in Sicily, Côte d’Azur, and Madrid, that are then amalgamated with the false naturalism of forms that have been ‘dreamt’ by custom built generative AI tools. The resulting paintings are akin to moving pictures, each painting representing a frame in motion between these two worlds.”

Artist spotlight for our upcoming exhibition:
A Third Hand
24 April - 28 May
Andre Hemer | b. 1981
Using the physical as a departure point (paint, sculpture, natural materials), Hemer then creates his own compositions using various digital processes involving AI, computational modelling and generative techniques. Hemer explores the merging of human perception with technological visuality, transporting the viewer in a realm that feels both familiar and unfamiliar.

𝓣𝓮𝓬𝓱𝓷𝓸 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰 at Ames Yavuz @amesyavuz was conceptualised in conjunction with architect Gakkú Jumaniyasova. A long form conversation took place between us in August of which an edited interview was published to illuminate the processes and concepts behind the new body of work. An extract from the conversation below:
GJ: So, the beginning of your process is always very physical. You start from things that physically exist, and take data out of them. Through photogrammetry and tools that extrapolate the volume of an object, you’re making its digital twin. It then goes through different digital processes that involve AI, computational modelling, generative modelling. And finally, it becomes a physical, painted work.
AH: It’s really important to note that there is never really an end form to anything. The form is something that can be recirculated back into the process, it’s cyclical. I think the big sea-change of the last ten to twenty years in artistic and visual media is that the hierarchy of the original form has really been diminished and exploded. It’s the reason that I like painting; it has these basic parameters that are always known and understood. You can refer to painting as a postcard of the moment of perception of that particular idea or image.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
