Cresci a vê-los ao longe, a admirar o seu bom gosto. Cruzámo-nos em palco um par de vezes, eu com os Linda Martini e eles com um bandão que fazia tremer quem viesse a seguir.
Num breve telefonema descubro que tinham uma canção favorita do meu último disco a solo e que gostavam de a tocar comigo no Tivoli.
Dias mais tarde, o concerto começa e eu às voltas na área de serviço do palco, à espera da minha deixa. “Não pises as flores” - pensei - “não pises as flores”. E de repente ouço o meu nome. Os Clã, meticulosamente alinhados em palco, abriram uma clareira entre a Manuela e o Hélder para eu pousar os nervos. A meio da canção tudo fica em câmara lenta: o público desmancha-se a rir com a punchline, a Manuela segura o refrão e a banda agarra-nos aos dois. Depois foi só ir em frente, como se já soubessemos o caminho.

“Abriu em queda, ao vivo” está aí, nos sítios do costume, com novo arranjo do Hélder Gonçalves, gravação e mix do Nelson Carvalho, master do Mário Barreiros e bonita capa do Pedro Oliveira, aqui também na bateria. ❤️ ⬇️

“Merda e Ouro” (literally “Shit and Gold”) is a celebratory object as much as it is a record.

Designed and released in 2024 to mark 20 years of @lindamartini , this double LP documents two sold-out live shows in Lisbon (LAV) and Porto (Hard Club), part of the 20 Anos: Merda e Ouro tour, nights of communion and celebration between the band and a fiercely devoted audience.

The edition also includes a CD of rare tracks and a poster drawn from the same visual universe.

Working from an extensive photographic archive by @anaviotti_ taken during those nights, we developed a collage made of photocopied crowd images, an attempt to hold everyone who has been there throughout these 20 years. When the gatefold opens, a single image stretches across both panels, suggesting a collective embrace and a shared gesture of gratitude between band and audience.

The cover resists hierarchy. The people come first. The band name and title appear only in gloss varnish, while gold rectangles cover every pair of eyes, reinforcing the raw photocopy aesthetic and the idea that a band with 20 years no longer needs its name to be read to be recognised.

This project also carries shared time and history. Thank you André, Cláudia, Hélio, Pedro, Rui and Sérgio for the music and the moments along the way.

Fizemos uma zine! A Lavrar é uma ideia do Ricardo. Como se não bastassem as mil merdas que tem para fazer, lembrou-se de se meter em mais uma. São 16 páginas, em risografia. O primeiro número é dedicado ao “Vamos ser breves”, o nosso LP de estreia. Lá dentro encontram as letras das canções, mas também há textos do Ricardo, do André e do Quim, uma tira de BD do “Phones” - personagem do Monte Abraão criado pelo Gaza - algumas curiosidades e coisas que queríamos partilhar. Inicialmente foi pensada como um booklet do LP, mas acabou por ganhar vida própria. A primeira edição de 50 já esgotou, vamos fazer reprint para venda nos próximos concertos.
