Calling all artists: it’s not too late to SPEAK UP.

Over two million Palestinians in Gaza face unprecedented levels of starvation — not from a humanitarian disaster, but from Israel’s blockade on food, water, fuel, and medicine. Children are beginning to die from starvation.

UN and countless humanitarian organizations say the aid being allowed in is a drop in the ocean of what is desperately needed. Respected relief agencies have been ready to resume their work, with thousands of trucks containing food and aid just a few miles away—enough to meet the desperate needs of civilians in Gaza.

The current distribution scheme—the Israeli and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, virtually the only option for aid—are sites of daily massacres, with open gunfire into starving crowds of people. Over 1000 people have been killed while trying to get aid in the past two and a half months alone.

People are forced to choose between feeding their families and being gunned down.

We call on our fellow artists to speak up in the name of our shared humanity, for an end to the suffering and endless killing. We must loudly say we do not agree with our leaders and governments being complicit in these horrific actions.

We call on our leaders, all those with power in the U.S. and around the globe, to use their influence and ACT NOW and demand Israel LET AID IN.

Our call has not changed— we demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, immediate, unrestricted delivery of aid to civilians in Gaza, and the release of all the hostages — the first and necessary steps toward restoring humanity, healing,rebuilding, and a just peace.

In the last 11 months, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have killed at least 40,000 Palestinians, 16,500 of them children. Starvation, dehydration, and disease have reached devastating levels in Gaza, with nearly all 2.2 million people there displaced from their homes.

What do women’s lives look like under genocide?
A new B’Tselem report presents data and testimonies from women in Gaza, revealing a brutal, ongoing struggle for survival.

Today, Sunday, 8 March, International Women’s Day, listen to the voices of women in Gaza, bearing witness from a continuous hell:

Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 12,500 women in Gaza, including over 9,000 mothers, leaving 21,193 widows.

Life in tents has morphed from a temporary solution into a permanent state, thin fabric walls that offer no protection or privacy. Without a room of their own, women sleep fully clothed and with their head coverings on, even in extreme heat. The simplest everyday tasks, such as washing, changing clothes, breastfeeding, or managing menstruation (now without hygiene products) have become degrading, near-impossible undertakings in exposed public spaces.

The burden on Gaza’s women is beyond comprehension. As Ikhlas al-Kafarneh told us in her testimony:

“I can’t  even cry in front of my children, because then I’d fall apart. I so much want to be alone, even for one day, to be just with myself in a distant place where I can scream at the top of my lungs and cry over this terrible life that has been forced on me.”

Even after the socalled ceasefire of October 2025, the genocide still goes on. The killing continues, and the inhuman living conditions erase the privacy, health, and basic dignity of every woman and girl in Gaza.
