Over the past 8 years we have been proud to serve as not just a neighborhood brewery, but a community hub and gathering spot for all sorts of events; for all sorts of people. We have always been a family-friendly venue - and we will continue to be! - but we are making some changes to our family and furry friends policy going forward.
In addition to providing a space for young folks and families, we want to provide a space for adults and beer enthusiasts to relax and enjoy what we do here. Therefore, our taproom will now be 18+ on Friday and Saturday evenings after 7 PM. We will remain a family-friendly establishment until that time, but we will now have adults-only hours; an adult swim, if you will.
Going forward we must insist that ALL children are accompanied by an adult at ALL times, even during our all-ages hours. And look - we get it. Oh, what we would give to be a 7 year old with a bunch of railings and ramps to run on! But as fun as we strive to make our space look, it is ultimately an alcohol factory and restaurant, which is no place for a kid to be running around unsupervised, or for a dog to be off leash.
We hope that this will help create a more inclusive taproom environment where all groups of people can feel welcome and relaxed in our space.

Editor's Note: an earlier version of this post had a picture of Matty Oh with a mustache from last year, with the caption "the stache is gone, but the feud remains." So you can imagine my surprise when Matt actually did shave his beard back into a mustache mere hours later. The post was already scheduled and I forgot to update it. Today is Stevie's birthday!
Stevie is the owner and founder of the brewery, and he brews the beers, draws the labels, and does all the behind the scenes stuff that keeps the lights on and the taps flowing.
So what do you get for the man who does everything? Well, all Stevie wants for his birthday is for you to stop by and grab a pint at the taproom today. (We assume? We didn't actually ask)

Poppies (5.5%) is now on tap!
This French Saison is made with all-local ingredients for a fully distinct profile, even from our other saisons.
It utilizes barley from @blueoxmalthouse in Maine, hops from @fourstarfarms in Northfield, MA, and the excellent Amesbury water we use for all of our beers, plus our house saison yeast
Everything combines to create notes of clove, sourdough, pithy citrus, and good old New England
