Saturday Night Live UK have released their cast and airing dates.

To say that we’re excited at BBC Studioworks is an understatement. We feel honoured that Television Centre is the chosen studio to bring the magic, legacy, and innovation of SNL to the U.K.

Congratulations to the cast, @hammedhamz @ayoadezahrah , @larrydeancomedy @celestedring , @fowerairkers, @aniamagliano, @annabel_marlow_ , @alnashcomedy, @jack_shep @emmafrancescasidi and @paddyisyoung .

We CAN.NOT.WAIT for the first show, which airs live from our TC1 studio on Saturday 21st March.

🌟 Saturday Night Live UK aired live from TC1 at Television Centre, presented by Hannah Waddingham with a special musical performance from Myles Smith

🤩 Richard Gadd’s Half Man, which filmed interior scenes at our Kelvin Hall facility, continued on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Meanwhile, beloved children’s favourite Balamory, which also filmed all interior scenes with us at Kelvin Hall, continued streaming on iPlayer.

Friday marked 100 years of the most iconic storytellers in broadcasting history: David Attenborough. It was an extraordinary moment to celebrate a lifetime of curiosity, generosity and deep care for the living world, and a body of work that has shaped how millions of people understand nature, and our responsibility to protect it.

Jointly staged and produced by @bbcstudios Music Productions and the Natural History Unit, in partnership with @theopenuniversity, David Attenborough’s 100 Years on Planet Earth was a special live broadcast brought together an incredible team both on and off screen to celebrate.

BBC Studioworks proudly supported the production with:

• Offline, online, mix and delivery of a VT package for the live broadcast
• A specially created compilation featuring birthday messages from celebrities and VIPs, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Creation and delivery of the AS-11 master for the BBC archive, alongside re-versioning for The Open University
• Standby editing support for the @bbciplayer version of the programme following transmission

Today we welcomed @bbcstudios trainees to our studios for a behind-the-scenes tour, giving them a closer look at the people, skills, and teamwork that bring productions to life.

At BBC Studioworks, supporting the next generation of talent is an important part of what we do. Creating opportunities for people starting out in the industry helps build a stronger, more inclusive future for television and media.

It was a pleasure to meet such enthusiastic trainees today, and we hope the experience gave them valuable insight and inspiration as they begin their careers.
