Join us in the Poets’ Garden at Beyond Baroque for an evening of wine paired with poems. Hosted by President of Beyond Baroque’s Board of Trustees, Luivette Resto. We’ll sample Paso Robles and L.A. wines from guest winemakers Xochitl Wines, Paco Wines, Ulloa Cellars and Eastside Luv. Each wine will be paired with our featured guest poets! 🍷
This spring fundraiser will be hosted amongst the flowers in our blossoming Poets’ Garden. Small bites will be available through the evening.
Hosted by Beyond Baroque’s Board President, Luivette Resto, the evening features Muriel Leung, Steven Reigns, Cody Sisco Eduardo Martinez-Leyva, and Mandy Kahn. All proceeds will benefit Beyond Baroque’s programming and mission. Join us for our fundraiser of the spring season!

Convergence: Poetry on the Environmental Impacts of War, offers a vital perspective that has rarely been considered: war’s destruction of the more than human environment. Arranged more or less chronologically, 90 poems and their contextual notes by 61 contemporary poets bring into vivid focus the eco-injustice of military damages in 37 nations on 6 continents and on the moon. Join us for a night of environmental-conscious poetry in The Wanda Coleman Theater.
The evening will feature readings by co-editor Teresa Mei Chuc, as well as contributors Sean Mclain Brown, Hazel Clayton, Lisbeth Coiman, Lucille Lang Day, Alicia-Viguer Espert, and Shahé Mankerian.

This Saturday at Beyond Baroque! UCLA’s Comparative Literature Graduate Student Association, in partnership with Beyond Baroque, is pleased to present Women of the World, an evening of commemoration for the struggles of women around the world.
The program presents a commemoration for female poets and reflections on the struggles of women around the world involving talks about the history of International Women’s Day and various poetry readings in multiple languages with translations; featuring Hannah Jakobsen, Ivanna Berrios, JuliAnne Rach, Sylvie Gallagher, and Consuelo Salamia Góngora. The event will culminate in musical performances of songs of resistance by women artists Ceasefire Choir, Andrea Y Los Gallos, and Guerra Paz.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories.
