Benchmarks
Lots of guitars. Summer, Slowly out now!

Thank you Rachel and @adobeandteardrops for including this Benchmarks tune on their Anti-Racist Americana Mixtape. I often try and fail to say in words what I’m attempting to express with this song, and now I don’t have to because Rachel wrapped it up perfectly. Nice to be included with my pals @_tim_barry_ and @chrishousmanmusic too.

Two years ago today we put this out. Still incredibly proud of it, in spite of having never even played most of these song live, or having the opportunity to execute many of the other plans we had for it. It’s a bittersweet one, and sort of lived to embody its themes a bit more than expected. Still, it’s the exact record I wanted to make at the time, and I hope it brings you a bit of comfort. Thanks for listening, friends.
(Also, I still have like 25ish copies of this on vinyl in my living room. Hit the Benchmarks Bandcamp page if you still haven’t bought one).

Five years ago today, Benchmarks released our "first" album Our Undivided Attention on @@sofaburn_records. I wrote some words about it over on our Facebook page. A lot has happened since then, but I listened to it this morning, and it was (mostly) a fun trip to the past.
Thank you for listening, caring, coming to those shows, and being a friend. What’s your favorite song or memory from Our Undivided Attention? Did you see us on any of those tours?

Todd (@toddfarrelljr) made a solo EP of some acoustic versions. If you want to know what Benchmarks songs sound like without a thousand guitars, here’s your chance. All proceeds from sales today will be donated to @trevorproject.

Tomorrow night in Columbus, I’m (Todd) gonna sing some songs with my pal Branden (@singingshrink) at @littlerock614. Might pack my amp as well. Hope to see you.

Hey there, friends. It’s been 19 months since I’ve sang my own songs into a microphone. In that span of time, we put out a record, and I’ve gone on a bit of a writing frenzy. On Friday, im gonna see what it feels like to do that again at Little Rock in Columbus, Ohio, with my bud Branden Barnett. We’re gonna make Murph play drums, and who knows what’s gonna happen. The next night, they’re reuniting the mighty Ghost Shirt, and I’m honored just to be able to tag along. Get your masks and vax cards, and let’s see if I remember how do do this.

Giant thanks to @frankturner for including “Our Finest Hour” on his One Foot Before the Other @spotify playlist. Honored 🙏

running from the twilight, and tomorrow. November, always nipping at our heels

One year and one day ago today, we released SUMMER, SLOWLY to the world.
To say time has flown by since then would be misleading, but rather that time seems to have stood still. When we wrote this record, the most apparent theme was that of impermanence. Nothing stays the same. As the last year(+) unfolded, nothing could be more true, yet seem so insincere. In the last month, shows have started up again, and subsequently, are being cancelled again. Kids are going back to school, and being sent back home. It almost feels like we’re reliving those twilight days before the world shut down again. I hope this isn’t the case.
That’s sort of what this record is about though. Standing on the edge, waiting for the drop. Adaptation. Continuing on with bright eyes and heavy hearts, in spite of time’s relentlessness. I don’t know if anyone else needed this record during these times, but I know that I did.
I’d also like to acknowledge that while we certainly have not been active, we’re not dead. There’s movement in the Benchmarks camp, and we’re working on a fun project that’s a little outside of our wheelhouse. We think you’ll dig it. Josh has also been playing bass in @blkbrdband, and Todd playing guitar in @ghosttownremedy, so be sure to check those pages for dates, as they may be coming to a town near you.
Most importantly, I hope you’re ok, healthy, and safe as we navigate what looks like, yet, another surge of this virus. Get vaccinated, wear a mask in public. Be kind to each other, and be kind to yourself.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
