Encounters and sounds from the Arctic sea ice.
The last 12 months of my career have had some truly once in a lifetime moments documenting Polar Bears in the marginal ice zone, situated just south of the North Pole.
I have been preparing for an upcoming exhibition and decided to put a series of these moments together, giving a broader window into the life of these magnificent creatures in one of the harshest and most remote environments on the planet. All of these scenes were captured during ship-based expeditions across the Arctic.

Excited to announce a 30% off sale on my online photography and filmmaking courses!
Today marks the anniversary of my online course releases for both the Photography Editing Masterclass and the Nature Filmmaking Academy.
These courses give you an in-depth look at my process for both photographic editing and filming nature, two elements that have become the foundations of my career. Over the next month I’ll be adding some new modules to each course, so for those who are enrolled please keep an eye out for the launch notification later in a few weeks.
Head to the link in my bio to see both courses and check out this special offer. If you’ve been thinking to pick up one of the courses, this is the best time to do so!

Today marks one year since I set off for my North Pole expedition on board an ice breaker.
Passing twice through the marginal ice zone on our journey to 90° North, we saw a total of 14 polar bears in the pancake ice, watched the 24 hour sunset fade into an eternal blue hour (lasting for 3 full days!) as we crossed the northernmost tip of the planet earth.
After years of polar travel in small sailing vessels, this was quite a different and overwhelming experience being on such a big ship. All I can say is that what is hidden within the luxury appearance is a truly special feat of engineering that reminds me a lot of the specialised and highly modified Arctic trucks we have in Iceland.
An adventure I will never forget and some of the most incredible polar bear encounters of my career.

Heading North.
Excited to be back in Svalbard ready to lead an expedition into the pack ice with @naturalworldsafaris.
There is an extraordinary feeling of remoteness in the far north of Svalbard, looking out to what feels like an infinite world of sea ice. I have lost count how many times I have literally been at a loss for words out there. It’s a mix of intimidation, contrasted by a deep sense of peace and silence.
Home to incredible Arctic creatures such as the Polar Bear, this environment feels so far from the world we know, yet such an important part of our planet.
Here is a collection of images I have captured over the last 8 years of expeditions around Svalbard.
Stay tuned for some insights into our voyage!

First tests of my new @arctictrucks Land Cruiser 250, AT44.
I am honestly blown away by the performance so far, with two successful glacier crossings and a trip to the center of the Icelandic highlands driving at 3psi for maximum floatation.
This is the 2.8L diesel non-hybrid version of the Land Cruiser 250, which has undergone extensive reengineering of the chassis, drivetrain and suspension to fit @nokiantyreseurope Hakkapeliitta 44” 475/70R17 tires which are co-developed with Arctic Trucks.
Thanks to a 5:29 gear ratio and the genius work of @arctictrucksisland, built on decades of experience in Iceland and the polar regions, this car drives insanely well both on the road and in the snow. We use a central inflation system that allows for tire pressure adjustments from inside the cab, a setup that is unique to Iceland amongst the 4x4 community.
We are running @arb4x4 OME BP-51 suspension and a range of accessories from @bushranger4x4gear, @rival4x4 and @switch.pros.official.
Thanks to @joelbarger_ for helping to capture some of these scenes! More to come 🤙🏼

Meet my new expedition vehicle with @arctictrucks!
Working with the Icelandic team @arctictrucksisland, we completely reengineered this Land Cruiser 250 with their AT44 conversion package.
A complete overhaul of the chassis, bodywork, suspension and drivetrain to create a strong and effective platform for the 44” (LT475/70 R17) @nokiantyreseurope Hakkapeliitta which are co-developed with Arctic Trucks. These are by far the best performing tire ever made for extreme glacier and polar expeditions.
Thank you to @arb4x4, @bushranger4x4gear and @rival4x4europe for also getting involved with this insane project.
Stay tuned for the first test and insights into the build!

Frames from last month in Antarctica 🇦🇶
There is such a stark contrast between the intensity of the drake passage and sense of absolute peace that awaits down on the peninsula.
There were some wild stormy moments during the sail, ones that make you reflect on life. Staring out into the towering waves really makes you appreciate the power of the seas.

The sounds of Neko Harbour.
Every time I go ashore here, I’m left with the same feeling of awe. This has to be one of the most beautiful glaciers on the planet, complete with the echoes of a Gentoo penguin colony in the hills overlooking the ice.

Can you get cinematic shots on a 360 drone?
Here are some of my first tests on the upcoming @djiglobal Avata 360.
In the past I have never really been a fan of the super wide field of view, but with the combination of putting a 360 camera on the Avata and taking to the sky, I am starting to understand the potential of a camera like this!
Being able to reframe in post is honestly super useful, especially for social media shots and YouTube videos. You can pretty much get three drone shots in one!
In these shots I tried to showcase the potential for getting cinematic style tighter angles mixed with 360 style wide shots, all shot on the same drone. Look forward to testing this further and stay tuned for a full review upon the official launch!
Thanks to @dronefly_iceland for helping catch these epic wave scenes, that was a close call 😂
Hit by another storm!
Our final day on @barkeuropa through the drake passage was a wild one. Safe to say everyone on board was excited to see land, glaciers and penguins after this!
Next stop: Antarctica 🇦🇶
#antarctica #drakepassage #sailing
Day two sailing to Antarctica on @barkeuropa
The question is: Drake Lake or the Drake Shake?
I think deep down we all know which one we would prefer!
It has been so cool to experience all the different weather conditions out here, from extreme wind and waves to the most peaceful warm moments. Tomorrow looks the polar opposite, quite a huge low pressure rolling through 👀

Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
