BINDI BOSSES BRING TRADITIONAL FOLK DANCES TO WAGGA WAGGA 🌾
Last week, @jaya.kachwaha and @fromyush flew to Wagga Wagga for their first ever interstate BINDI BOSSES gig, sharing traditional folk dances from their own cultural backgrounds through workshops at @fusion_wagga.
Here’s what they had to say about their experience:
Aayushi —
“I loved my time at the Wagga Wagga botanical fusion multicultural festival! The community was so accepting and gave us so much energy as I shared elements of my roots through dance. I aimed to mix topics that kids can understand and yet remain connected with the essence of my culture and, they did, so beautifully. The night’s highlight was definitely the talented DJs @munasib____ and @ijaleofficial that brought so many cultures together. It was a magical trip with so many talented artists, amazing home-made food, well organised stalls and activities that kept their audience engaged and of course, we were taken care of so thoughtfully”.
Jaya —
“Hosting the Ghoomar workshop at the Wagga Wagga Botanical Fusion Multicultural Festival on Saturday was a deeply meaningful experience for me as a proud Rajasthani. It was incredibly fulfilling to share a piece of my heritage through dance, especially in such a vibrant and diverse setting. The energy and enthusiasm of the children who attended brought back memories of my own early love for dance. Seeing their eagerness to learn reminded me of how dance connects us across cultures and generations. The festival itself was a beautiful surprise, filled with talented artists like Bengali DJ @munasib____ from around the world, each celebrating their roots with pride”.

Rituals of Welcome 🙏🏾 3 workshops down, 1 to go!
As part of CuriousWorks’ Holding Space: Rituals of Welcome, we’ve been exploring what it means to arrive, belong, and connect — through the ancient Tamil traditions of Parai Attam (drum and dance) and Kolattam (joyful stick dance).
We’ve connected with incredible women from refugee backgrounds — hailing from Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and beyond — in a powerful exchange of movement, music and culture. Together, we’ve shared dance moves and songs, embodied the elements of earth, water, air and fire, and connected through rhythm as a universal language.
Each session has become its own ritual of welcome — grounded in nature, shared energy, and the spirit of togetherness. What we can’t always say, we can feel and express through movement. 🥁✨Here’s what Smrithi @karma_sx had to say about her experience co-facilitating the workshops alongside Shyamla @shyamla.e:
“Sharing the space with all the women was so heartwarming — there was so much love and care shown towards understanding each other’s cultural heritage. Being able to share our own experiences through cultural art forms allowed them to open up with their own, which was such a beautiful exchange and is exactly what is needed around the world”.
Thank you for inviting us to be part of this beautiful project and opportunity to connect and share practice. We look forward to delivering our final workshop this Friday 24th October at the Refugee Welcome Centre in Lilyfield @crwc_lilyfield.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
