June is Pride month - a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQI+ communities worldwide. At Bitmovin, we are committed to celebrating the diversity within our team and promoting tolerance and inclusion.
To commemorate Pride month, we will be providing opportunities for our entire team to support the LGBTQI+ community and learn about how we can can become better allies with some of the following activities:
Lunch and Learns: A member of the LGBTQI+ community will be hosting a lunch and learn about allyship.
Walk the World: We will be hosting another company fundraiser for an international charity called Outright, helping combat systemic violence, persecution and discrimination that LGBTIQ people face around the world. Our offices in Klagenfurt, Vienna, London, San Francisco and Denver (and our remote workers!) will be walking 10km for this amazing charity. You can donate to our fundraiser here.
Online resource pack: We will also be creating an online resource pack for Bitmovers who want to learn more about the history of Pride month and how to become an ally of the LGBTQI+ community. There will be English and German language content, including articles, books, films and LinkedIn Learning courses everyone can access.
We support everyone’s right to be who they are and love who they want, with pride!
Today marks the start of Passover, and we want to take a moment to wish everyone commemorating the holiday a wonderful celebration. Happy Pesach!
