For the Virginia-born singer-songwriter and producer, support consists of showing up and following through. The last year has seen her extend that notion far beyond the stage and into the lives of the communities around her: performing at Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral inauguration in New York, lending her voice to Sudan and Palestine aid in Los Angeles alongside Chappell Roan, and becoming ordained to officiate 154 predominantly queer weddings while on tour.
“Maybe you have space in your house. Maybe you have trees that grow fruit. Maybe you have skills that can help,” she points out, contemplating the small, tangible ways we can show up for each other, how those choices shape the kind of world we live in, and how important advocacy is in a climate of censorship, authoritarianism, and smear campaigns. “I think you really have to make peace with there not being a balanced return. Charity is not an investment. If the only return that you get is the ability to respect yourself, that should be enough.”

This cover of the BRICKS ‘I Support You’ issue is dedicated to the Palestinian journalists who have lost their lives while reporting on the genocide in Gaza. Their work ensured that the world could see, read and understand what was happening in real time, often while they themselves were displaced, grieving and in danger.
To report from Gaza since 2023 has meant reporting on the destruction of their streets, schools, hospitals and, in many cases, their own families. These journalists were not distant observers, but witnesses to their own reality, documenting it so that it could not be denied. Journalism is often described as a public service, but in Gaza it has come at the highest possible cost, and their work preserves history in real time so that lives, names and stories could not be erased.
A portion of the proceeds from every copy sold of the ‘I Support You’ issue will be donated to the @committeetoprotectjournalists, supporting their work to protect Palestinian journalists and defend press freedom globally.

@greenpartyzack is the fourth print cover star of BRICKS ‘I Support You’ Issue ✨ 🔗 Pre-order now in our bio link.
In British politics, authenticity has become one of the most valuable and least definable qualities a politician can have. The very notion of speaking “like a politician” suggests that too many are relentlessly media-trained; more comfortable on podcast press tours than in conversation with the public they are supposed to represent. Amid countless recent crises and cover-ups – from Epstein files allegations to Met Police misogyny, shameless foreign policy pandering, and mass arrests of pension-age peaceful protestors – several current and former politicians responsible for such scandals have meanwhile become reality TV regulars. It’s no longer unusual to see book deals announced like album drops or carefully focus-grouped memes so cringe-inducing, they do more to alienate voters than attract them.
Zack Polanski is not overly concerned with appearing authentic, which is probably why so many people believe he is. @thegreenparty leader and long-time community organiser cares more about representation than reputation, framing politics as a responsibility to people, not a career. A 43-year-old Hackney local, he does not present himself as a polished Westminster operator, nor does he seem particularly interested in becoming one. After all, anyone who arranges a magazine shoot via Instagram DM, rather than through an endless chain of press officer emails and assistants, is probably not trying to be traditional.
At our link in bio, Polanski discusses authenticity in politics, protecting arts funding, and opening up Westminster to a new generation of candidates.

As BRICKS celebrates twelve years of independent print publishing, Editor & founder @toriwest shares what it’s really like to build a media empire from scratch. Spoiler alert: it takes a village, and a whole lot of audacity.
“This April, BRICKS celebrated its 12th birthday. As much as this milestone is worthy of celebration, it has, of course, not come without struggle,” she shares. “I don’t think I’ve ever quite achieved my ‘Carrie Bradshaw moment’ (there’s no Manolo Blahniks or walk-in wardrobe I once dreamed about, but I can’t walk in heels anyway). My path through publishing hasn’t followed the neat, upward trajectory the industry likes to package “success stories” as — especially as I come from a low-income background.”
At our link in bio, Tori reflects on what it’s taken to keep her magazine alive and shares some of her favourite editor-energy outfits to do it in, all available to pay in 4 with @clearpay_uk.

No, we’re not reporting on the #metgala this year. Bezos and Sánchez are not arbiters of taste. They are not patrons of craft, nor contributors to fashion’s cultural lineage. What they represent is capital at a scale that doesn’t need to develop taste; turns out, you can buy your way in, so long as you’re entering from the top.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
